Hello!

I, like many other, like to fiddle in the toolset. But lately it's starting to behave unruly and crash on me. What can i do to prevent this? What is the most common issues toolsetwise?

I will naturally post a screenshot of the error messages.

Help.

Sincerely
Svensk

Are you running the toolset under XP compatibility mode?

Open the Nwn folder, rightclick on the toolset application, choose properties, then switch to compatibility window and mark the window compatibility mode, choosing Windows XP as your operating system for this application. I suggest you do the same with game application as well, if you are experiencing crashes.

For older games I am using either this, although it's not always working (it works on Nwn and toolset, so worry not), or Virtual PC with Win XP.

Very interesting. Do you think it will raise my performance when playing nwn too? Because it has been seriously laggy as of late.

Don't know, but I guess it won't solve your lags. It really solves only the sudden shitty Windows crashes.

Tried like 30 different methods of starting it (35 even) - It really went downhill from there. Seems the best compatible mode is the one i am using now.
But i keep getting these error messages that it isn't running in the correct window size...

Simple techie answer: have you tried installing and reinstalling it?

It would be less prone to crashing if you went about your crafting and testing business in a relatively blank module of your own making (with Amia's haks and whatever haks you require loaded, of course) rather than in Contest of Champions. While it won't alleviate all the problems or prevent the toolset from terminating, it should lessen the lag and the frequency of crashes.
