I made a CE ogrillion assuming that would be a good toon to start in the underdark. I got my starting location changed to underport, but i could not find a merchant there selling basic weapons and armor, only magical stuff i couldn't afford and wasn't high enough level to use. I took the ferry to the other server and L'Obsul, but the merchants there said i was "not an underdark race" and wouldn't deal with me or couldn't speak my language (even though i saw what at least looked like and ogrillion standing next to one of them). So, is there a way to start an ogrillion in the underdark, or where should an evil ogrillion start? Did I simply miss the starting merchants in underport and if so where are they? The section marked weapons and armor on the map only sold the higher level stuff.

Ogrillion

Ogrillons are horrid crossbreeds of orcs and ogres. They are not much taller than usual mountain orcs, but their muscular, bulky bodies are protected by a layer of thick, hard skin. Other traits include tusks, flat faces, and a myriad of different mixtures of orc and ogre, varying between individuals.





Orogs

Orogs are fierce orcs of the Underdark, chased underground by elves and Netheril thousands of years ago. They stand six and a half feet tall and look like big mountain orcs. They have large pale eyes which are sensitive to light.


You picked the wrong race, only UD ones can go deep into it.

Ok let me try to simplify this. I know the difference between orogs and orgillions and i want to play an ogrillion. I assumed that it also was an underdark race, but if not where should one start? Also, are there stores for level two characters in Underport or not, and if not why is it a starting location?

Underport has no lowbie gear. The option is given as a different default hub, and only if you select it (It even recommends elsewhere).

Try logging in to B. If you start in L'Obsul there are newbie merchs there and some starting quests.

If you start in Wiltun, well, there is newbie stuff there, too.

What he is asking is if its possible to have an ogrillion (a non underdark race) start and function in the underdark.

Currently, the answer is no. Because your toon is not an underdark recognised race you will need to be accompanied by an underdark character.

However, you can always submit a request when you get a few DCs under your name to change that.
