Voice is an important part in how people are perceived by others. I've always felt that without sound a vital part of human interaction is lost and is not easily represented in a text based environment. As an initiative to bring more flavor to Amia and its roleplay, I will begin voicing all topic posts in the notice boards and will post them here. I also invite people to voice posts of their own, or if you do not like a voice I provide, you may record an alternative and post it. As seen below, my voicing talents are quite diverse and if you would care to listen you will see I am quite apt at voice overs for your female and male characters.

Corinn's voice isn't raspy and grating enough.

Maral's voice stirs my loins and commands my attention.

You to? I thought I was the only one.

Rulen sounds like the Billy Mays of Amia. I sell my leather with fear and authority.

While this thrills me, I have to scratch my head and go... Maral is female...

But the overall tone/attitude suits her well.

Why? While satirical the Vocaroo content is by no means slanderous or otherwise in violation of the Registration Terms Agreement. By way of the same agreement, moderators are welcome to edit things as they see fit, but in practical application this is usually done with some manner of explanation or justification supplied, if only to maintain that Amian moderators aren't tyrants.

While it may be discourteous to create a parody without obtaining consent first, the posts used are not from forums with exclusive privileges and contrary to what Wakaman might think, what is written on the Amian forums is not intellectual property unless otherwise recognized by a third party. In summation, unless some other reason exists for the removal of Calamiel's entry besides 'non-consensual interpretation', then the editing is discriminatory as threads such as the OOC comments on IC threads thread is not subject to the same treatment.

Cerpin was already asked politely to remove it in a PM and did not do so, so kindly butt out and stop trying to play forum rules lawyer. You're hardly in a place to say what is appropriate and what isn't.

Post subject:  Re: The Voices Thread

If an individual happens to post something in a part of the forums that is accessible to every registered user there's no reason why it is undue for it to appear in part, or whole elsewhere, whether as a quote or in this odd case, as an oral rendition.

As per a lack of misconduct or ill-will in what comprises the post and its intent, it should be up to the poster whether or not they abide another player's wishes to have a particular post removed. In many cases the involved parties might opt to remove the post when asked while in others they might opt not to; either way, there's no wrong choice provided the contents of the post isn't defamatory.

I will be speaking about this in PMs. The next post should be on-topic.
