Finally Amia! It's been quite some time now was it?

Here's a thing I'm curious about:

How does the server population correlate to the rate of forum posting? Does more people in game mean more people posting on the forums, or is it actually true that "shut up and get in game" is mathematically viable advice?

you can do both so i don't see how it is viable

You can take a rough guesstimate of how in-gameness corresponds to forum posting by the number of times characters who were previously standing still suddenly zip off to some random point in Cordor Square.

And overnight, the entire server died from horror...

I'm really pleased by both the playerbase and the DM team. Keep being cool, guys.

Very impressed. It's awesome to see the server at full again, and it's happened a few times in the last couple of weeks, too! There also seems to be more DM's on at all hours, and more of those special little unique bits and pieces which seem to pop out of no where. Keeps the game spontaneous and fun!

Someone is doing something right. And when I say someone, I mean the DM's and community in general, and when I say something, I mean the helpful nature that I've seen many people really put out in the last 3 months. This is a really positive thing for the server. I've seen a lot of stellar RP from players both new and old, and the server is just generally giving off a fantastic vibe right now.

We were testing a few different methods with the DM staff, events, and some other things-- so that's why you're seeing large groups of DM's on at once, and in a more centralized area.

I'd like for everyone to think about how far we've come in the past few months. I still remember the general feeling that Amia was dying. Rp was hard to find, conflict was rare, and player numbers were at a disheartened low.

And in a time when it should have gotten worse, as Gamespy was dropped and the server was harder to find-- we've been growing. People are gathering, DM activity is high, RP is stellar. Factions are forming, conflict is brewing. People are -doing- things, and having a good time. I've been really impressed with the players recently with the RP and helpfulness to newer players.

In all seriousness, it's really encouraging to see how many new players have appeared, and of those how many have actually made their way onto the forums, too.

Can somebody contact the ownwe of that site to list our two servers as one to add our server populace together? It's like money - th more you have the more you get.
If people look at us and see that we have 737382 playera - they WILL log in.

I don't know. I just saw it was a site listing NWN servers and linked it, Svensk. -_-

I was hoping someone would be familiar with the site or sites like it and know what steps would need to be taken.
