Hi there, I've taken a look around and some things have left me a tad confused and I was wondering if they could be cleared up (sorry if this is the wrong forum to leave them, but it seem suitable) The following queries I have in regards to custom spells are the below - Dc cost? - Do they have to be spells that are written within a DnD sourcebook somewhere, or is it possible to be creative with it (Within reason of course) -Is there a general limit to power per level, or is common sense in effect? i.e Instant death in cantrip catagory a no no -Is there a limit to the Fx that can be used? I may have a few more after taking a look but these are the ones that perked my curiosity since I can't find any set information around the forum. Thanks! |

Oh Yeah just thought of one as I posted - Can you change the appearances in current spells (like Shape shift or Polymorph) |

You'd need to actually request something so it can be decided if it's doable though, really. If there is a set number of a maximum I would not know it. Likely Sune or Glim can say more about that. For both the shifter shapes and the lvl 9 spell of Shapeshift. |

DC cost, unless it has been changed, is 10 DC's base cost + time + module space + arbitrary balance charge from what I infer from Sune and Glim. In other words two spells may take the exact same time for Sune or Glim to script but are vastly difference in terms of power will have different prices. |

True that. I admit I have never scripted at all. Hehe... Ultimately... the exact cost are always only given when the spell has been scripted. |

True that, however, if you want to keep the cost down it's good to think on these things. If your asking for something that is going to be extremely complicated with multiple effects, will require a number of item additions to the item pallate, and is meant to kill epic monsters then you can expect to pay at a high rate. |

Would it make it easier at all If I came up with a base script to be ran? Reducing time and costs? Or just in fact reducing times for people? |
