Oh well, i'm not a linguist per se, but it seems that dvd's are encoded per region, and there are thousands of them, so my brazilian nwn won't run on the french computer, is it possible to download it directly from bioware or somewhere else, and then use my old cd key ?

Basically what it says is that it cannot change your DVD region.

However, DVD regions do not apply to data discs, not in the same way as audio discs anyway. You should be able to install by double-clicking the installer instead. If that doesn't work you can copy the contents of the install disc to your hard disk.

Oddly enough it seems to be the case Selmak, my dvd drive doesn't recognize the cd so that I can explore it. It may very well be restricted to my region, as it did not come in a retail box, it came inside a magazine as a limited promotional gift, most likely under a bioware agreement that it would not be sold outside of this region. ( it did cost me only 8 brazilian bucks, which is around 2 eurosm or 4 dollars)

Ok, viruses will be viruses, i'll send it to a tech if something happens, got the torrent and installed it with my keys, now am using the link we have on forum for the 1.69 update.
