So, anyone who plays Bmia by now noticed the Citadel is quite active. Also, that not only the Master Trapper, Master Smith, Chief Counsilor, Faenor, etc have personnaly dealt with and expelled visitors who refused to sheathe weapons and show their faces. No, not "lower weapons" or "show face to gate staff". It has been stablished that if you are within dwarven lands, anyone can see your hands and your face, unless you fight your way in.
We all like how we tailor our toon's weapons and clothes to fit our idea of them, but we are limited by pixels for cetain ingame assumptions. If your character is inside the Citade for a gem selling run, with their weapon out, hooded, covered in abjurations and conjurations, and the guards are alive, I, as a player, will go about my business, and if there is interaction to be had, let me know, as I see no way your character could make it inside.
Not meant to be rude, or anything, just annoying and immersion breaking for me, probably because my characters spend a LOT of time working inside the Citadel.
Thank you.

Was it necessary to make a thread like this? Anyone who is doing that is metagaming the guards or whatever so if they don't put their wards and weapons away then screenshot it and tell a DM.

Yeah, don't ignore people who are metagaming the guards. Not everyone reads the laws and if you approach them about removing their weapons/helmet and they refuse, screenshot it and send it to a DM. There have been times when approaching someone who doesn't realize they're metagaming the guards has led to some nice RP. If you find a banned race in the walls, a polite Tell should be more than enough to remind them. And if they don't take heed of the laws they're metagaming, screenshot it and send it to a DM. There's nothing more you can do about it, but ignoring them outright because you think you work hard enough that you feel like you shouldn't have to deal with that kind of thing is not the right stance to take. It reads as "I'm better than you and don't have to talk to you if you don't know the laws ver batim." The DM channels exist for a reason. Use 'em.

I felt so, and unless it is against server/forum rules that is what I intend to do. Jes: I see where you are coming from Jes, and I agree to a degree. With the ammount of time Oaru spent in the snow by the gates believe me, I welcome any RP. Except when the same character, same clothes, no attempt on disguise nothing, just walks in. Forum user, regular, the works. No, I dont feel like stopping whatever I am doing to take a screenshot and bother a DM. If people are free to level to 30 in a couple days so they are to use the NPCs stores freely, if the game scripting allows. So if anyone feels like RPing between gem runs, I am all for it. But no, I will not RP the same "Oy there traveler, remove your hood and arms AGAIN because AGAIN the two gate guards went blind" for the 100th time.

Letting it run rampant is not the answer, though. I have led and been part of factions that had this problem on a daily basis. Does it suck to have to say it over and over all the time? Yes. But reporting it to a DM can and will stop it from happening repeatedly like you say it does. That's the thing about being part of a place in the module that has very strict laws. If you're going to put those kinds of restrictions on other players, you have to be willing to step in every time. Now if your character doesn't do it IC'ly then that's his thing. But don't be surprised or offended OOC'ly if his failure to stop someone comes with IC consequences.

This is breaking the rules and should be reported to a DM, it shouldn't really be aired on the forums as dirty laundry. PM someone with screenies of folks breaking the laws after you've approached them, sent them a polite tell, etc, etc.
