Hello again :)

I am certain many of these questions are a bit silly but I was hoping to ask just so I don't mess up the character I am thinking of starting up...

1. Is level thirty the cap here? It says so on one page but then another section lists Pale master summons that need level 32 to use.

2. Is Improved Expertise disabled for casters? Yeah, up until about a month ago giving your casters a free bonus +10 AC was very much "in" on Arelith and I just wondered if it was worth it here or not.

3. Are there any limits on what Prestige classes you can select or how many of them? (RP ratings or whatnot?).

4. Are there any class combinations which are illegal or frowned upon? (I haven't been on many other servers and while it wasn't illegal when a PC with a combo like Cleric/Monk, Wiz/Rogue or Pally/Sorc showed up it would always cause a massive OOC drama ...Avoiding! )

Thanks

You're gonna want to go HERE to learn about class changes. There are a TON. All great, I think. This includes two new classes, the Knight Commander and Masrer Scout.

30 is the cap.

IE is not only not restricted (though it has prerequisites), there is one item that grants it ingame as epic loot.

Welcome! I'm originally Arelithian too, and I love Amia. I am so sure you will too. If you have any questions, PMs or MSN will always find.me.

He's asking for expertise, not evasion.
I don't think it's disabled for casters, but considering it deactivates when you cast a spell or when you move and not actually attack anyone, it has limited use.

No illegal class combinations or limitations outside those determined by alignment. All the cheesy ones have been nerfed. Although I suppose a Druid/Wiz/PM build, while mechanically legal, will get mighty interesting when a DM catches wind.

Yes 30 is the cap for the normal races. Some of the special subraces have a lower level cap to balance out their racial bonuses. Such are for example tiefling, aasimar and drow.

The PM gets a lot of specialties though and nice summons. Check out the link P_Three gave ya.

The classes cleric/monk and such is fine but you should be aware that there is a cap on the AC bonus monks get for wisdom which is connected to the amounts of monk levels you have. Means if you only that the minimum amount of monk levels you won't get the full AC bonus from your wisdom.

The prestige classes all have their prequisites... and since you need to pick those and there is a cap of 3 different classes per character by default you can have a may of 2 prestige classes at once. Amia has some costumized prestige classes too, as mentioned.

As for the pally/sorc thing... it is not illegal but you need to take into note that the server is very strict about the RP. So even if you have just 1 paladin level you still -are- a paladin with all the oaths and restrictions which come with it. And you better not have a DM watch you act against them ;)
