Has anyone managed to get it working?
I enter "C:\Program Files (x86)\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 84.243.255.52:5121" into the Target box of the shortcut only to get an error message saying the name [insert the path above] specified in the target box is not valid. What to do?

I have, but I can't tell you how until I get home from work haha. I have two shortcuts, one each for A and B, though I usually connect with Lola anyways.

Yeah, I used to have both, too. When I switched from Vista to 7 I can't seem to get the same method working again.

I think there is a how to step by step guide somewhere in the forums. I recall running into it before, but no idea where its at anymore.

Hey, it might be as wimple as removing the quotes haha
D:\Games\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 84.243.255.52:5121 is mine, no quotes, and it works. I just used it.

Without quotes, it only recognizes C:\Program as the target, which is obviously invalid.
This is strange. I have the Professional version, 64-bit, but I don't see why it would work in one and not in another.

Is the correct way to do it. " " is for framing the path to the program, not the parameters aswell.

Hey, I'm trying to get this to work, only I am extra computer dumb... do I create a shortcut of "nwn main" on my desktop and then add the above lines into the target field? Or something else?
I also seem to remember reading somewhere a fix so you don't have to wait to search for the non-existant master server, which is like a whole extra 10 seconds guuuuuuhhh. Anyone have a link to that?

You edit the hosts file, adding a line like this: Code: 0.0.0.0 nwmaster.bioware.com The hosts file is usually in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc which in later operating systems is a hidden directory. However instead of just right-clicking the file and choosing Open With..., you will need to start Notepad as an Administrator under Windows 7 otherwise you won't be able to save the file.
