Hi, I've been away for about 2 years, and can't seem to find players in the areas which were previously very busy.

It used to be you couldn't move through Cordor or the Forest Crossroads/Grove, or on Caraigh, without bumping into at least 4 or 5 PCs, but it looks like the population centres have moved around! Is it that the average level of characters is taking them out of these zones? (This was earlier with about 30 players on Amia A).

So - a) if it's possible to say without giving IC details, where is a good place to find rp these days, or even just to meet others randomly?
and b) Who has a group which needs a new PC on European time? I'm open to absolutely any concept, just want Euro-time rp :)

As a vigilant thane, you should be given a widget to control NPC guards, so you at least can make your own RP, if noone is around. :P

But yeah, Cordor is probably the best place to meet people. Wiltun and Kohlingen has their moments too. Otherwise wander around and hope for the best.

I saw more dwarves. Because, dwarves.
And that's coming from someone that doesn't play a dwarf. Currently.

Each place has it moments, take a look at rp events and current affairs. Will either show the increase or fall depending on things. Best advice wander around and have a sociable toon or a stalker.

Create a random character with no interesting abilities, and find people in game to hang out with, then learn to become something better.

Hey, Babette is human pure class... but yeah, just wandering around is your best bet, as well as being open to talking to just about anyone...

OR

Get a skeleton familiar, you'll find people...well they'll find you...pretty quick too

I have human pure classes also. I do not think they are hugely unique.

Make a LN cleric of Bane, laugh when a paladin tries to smite you and then has to ponder the moral implications of his prejudgment.

Not really. Bane is an enemy of the Triad, his priests are agents of his Will, paladins shouldn't feel bad about kicking their arses regardless of allignment!

As for your question - make a character that is accessible and easy to roleplay with. I suggest a CN bard. It'll let you get a feel for the server, the players, and the various factions for your next character.

Thank you for all the replies!

I do have one or two characters who are neutral and sociable, and completely open to being roped into whichever bunch of nasty people gets them first :)

And I did find one of the big groups (surprised I didn't bump into them before), and my main IS a pure-class human (GASP) :D

Dwarves sound mighty tempting though. Will have to have a look at that.
