So I went on hiatus because, you know, work. Now it's summer and it's time to game. I'm not sure what the population looks like - are there still new players showing up, or is it all established members? - but I'm hoping to follow through on an idea I hatched with someone at the end of last summer that never fell into place. The original idea was to create some kind of pirate/buccaneer/salty sea-dog group of characters that had some common connection that brought them to Amia together. The characters would adventure exclusively with each other, so that we all leveled up together, and so we'd schedule times during the week when we could all get together, raid orcs, and so forth. The theme itself is not set in stone, it's just what was previously settled on, but I still think it would be fun, and honestly, still want to use the character I cooked up. So, if anyone is interested, please do reply here or in PM. Vacation goes a lot faster than you'd want it to, so I'd like to get cracking on the fun ASAP. |

Been done before. And it's usually fun to watch. There are new players still coming in, and you never know when an older player will jump in with some new folks for a kick. Since it's been done before though, you oughtta think up an original idea for the concept. Maybe a new location they might be from, or a particular goal the group has on Amia. When you've got an actual goal in mind, it generally sparks more interest in the playerbase. So that begs the question. What're you looking to accomplish? Come up with an interesting answer for that question, and it probably won't be difficult for you to get some players rolling with you. |

The goal is to have fun, really. If the mariner thing's been done before that wouldn't surprise me, but I haven't got to play one, so it's new to me. And, hopefully, others. Really, though, the idea is to get a core group of solid RPers who want to do something like an online PnP party. Nothing fancy required. |

I'd be down...for anything, really. Assuming you have some flexibility of schedule. My job B-L-O-W-S; I work a lot. PM sent |

I have a pirate-character I play. He's level 12 atm, but I'm sure we can work something out (if the rest of the party consisted of L7s). I probably won't be leveling him for a while, and it can work out if maybe he washed up on Amia ahead of the gorup. Send me a PM if you want to work something out. |

So right now the status is that Cowboy, Vaul and I are rolling up some desert themed characters, and as soon as we work out scheduling we'll start. PM Cowboy for details, as its his concept, so I won't speak for him. I rolled up my inebriate bard/ranger and have been playing him for the last couple of days. If anyone wants to retcon a bit of common background with him I'm totally game for that. PM me for details. |
