Hey everyone, I played on amia awhile back for a short time (bout 2 months) before rl obligations got in the way. It was my first experience with RP and i had alot of fun. I've got more time on my hands now and i thought of amia the other day when i was messing around on my computer looking for something to do. I'm glad to see its still around. So I've updated my files and rolled up a cleric of asmodeus (always wanted to play a cleric) and i was wondering if there's any faction rp i can jump into. Im not the best rper with my limited experience but id like to learn.

Also (not sure if this is the correct place for it or not) but i think i may have messed something up with his domains. I created the guy and picked a couple domains knowing they'd have to be changed after i got ingame. Sure enough when i logged in i got a msg saying my domains did not match my deity and i was therefore a fallen cleric and needed to use the domain changer. Which i did, i changed his domains and selected Nobility and Travel, two domains that according to the deity system in the sidebar are supported by asmodeus. I got booted, and when i logged back in i got the same msg again saying my domains were not supported and i was a fallen cleric etc. When i played before the custom domains had not been in place so i dont really know, is there something else i need to do so im not a fallen cleric anymore? I double checked my character sheet and i do have the correct domains listed there.

I am in no way sure about this answer, but have you actually gone to Asmodeus' idol IG and "chosen" him as your patron? I'm not sure if that would have an affect on things but I have a hunch it might.

Hopefully someone else can confirm. But it's something worthwhile to accomplish ICly anyway.

Did you add Asmodeus to your Deity field in the character creation screen? Did you spell it correctly?

I double checked and yes i spelled it Asmodeus, when you click on the domain changer it tells you your deity. Really not sure what the issue might be, I think I've done everything correctly. Also, I noticed that the domain changer will allow me to change one of my domains to Tyranny, but that is not one of his domains listed in the deity sidebar. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.

Where it lists: 'Travel' on the sidebar, it should list 'Tyranny'. Thats a typo meant to make him seem more attractive for my benefit.

Edit: I forgot to mention, there is no Asmodeus idol in game, so you'd either have to set it at character creation, or with the help of a DM.

Whew, that's easy enough to fix. I didn't want to start experimenting changing his domains around when the domain changer says WARNING: You may only change your domains once! I'll just pick a different domain then.

EDIT: Yup, changing his domain from travel worked, travel is not a supported domain for Asmodeus after all

This is most fortunate.
