I don't know if it effects anyone else but please do not:

Craft in the entry.
Use your PLC's in the entry.
Shapeshift in the Entry.
HiPS in the entry.
Attack the HAK chicken because you think its cool.

In fact. Don't do anything in the entry except click on the mirror to enter the game world unless your trying to nab a DM, using the subrace activator or trashing stuff.
Its really irritating Crashing on entry, or having the loadscreen to the entry take 3 minutes to load when it normally takes 3 seconds.

Add "try to be funny by casting spells", too. And if you abuse your PLC makers in the entry I will remove them from you. The entry is there to get you in game or allow subrace maintenance etc if need be.

No, I'm not trying to be funny; Nelene spends so much time in HiPS half the time I forget to take her out.

Walk through the entry HiPsed. Its not being Stealthed thats the problem, its actually going in an out of stealth that is.

Whenever I see people crafting in the entry I always ask them to stop ... it is rather annoying. I hadn't thought about coming out of stealth, though.

Does that apply to the friendly 'rez' you sometimes get in the entry?

This happend to me early in my time on the server, I got a rez after a reset. I have returned the favor to. It's just a nice thing to do

Here's a simple how-to:

Welcome to Amia!
Do you need a rebuild/headchange/etc. requiring a DM?
---Page the DM Channel.
Do you need to activate a subrace?
---Go to the room.
Everything else?
---Click the mirror. No dilly-dallying.

This helps us as DM's, and you as players. The faster the entry clears, the faster we can start doing our job.

You of course also meant to add the exception if your partaking in an event that has special parameters which may not allow one to go through the mirror. Such as Bobo's child event.

We know it's funny, but it makes things so much easier if you go straight for the entrance.

Can do what I do for crafting-- as soon as you click the mirror and appear wherever you appear, just rush to the nearest isolated area/room and craft in there. Bubbles should pay rent on the little office in Waukeen's Temple

Perfectly legit.

I admit..when I play my shifter I make sure my form is good before going in game.....I don't want to be caught undergraound looking like a surfacer...or above ground looking like a drow.

I know the SOLUTION of the problem

Make a sign in the Entry. And write the stuff that mosh asked for, then the reason for why it lags and etc..

I don't think it needs a sign, its rather obvious and common sense not to do stupid stuff in the entry. And almost everyone on the server at least once has had the DM's ask them to get in game.

My fav was the simple: "Shoo." to the lingering herd

....think that was Tormak.

Also, try not to AFK for extended periods in the entry. You're taking up a server slot AND you're extending people's load time. You might also come back to find yourself in an embarassing location in strange, funny-looking garments too, if you make a habit of it :twisted:

Quit fucking attacking the hak chicken.

Make a sign saying all that, Pleeease. It's not like it can go wrong? It will only less the burdan on the DMS, will it not?

Edit:: A sign will only improve. Only. The only downside is that it takes effort to make it.

I also have one of Signe's (I think) AFK outfits on Katsumi still. Mostly because I asked for it.

I think I probably had the most AFK outfits of various types than any of the other players on the server.

Though... that's nothing to brag about.

I want to reserve the right to attack that god damned chicken when it keep opening dialog boxes everytime I log in, telling me to update my HAK, dispite it being up-to-date and having no issues at all.

You know that you can just choose the option, "Dont show me this message again"...

If that doesn't work just ignore the chicken. And go through the **** mirror!

I've had people attacking the hak chicken before and asked them to stop nicely - and I basically got told, "Whatever," they kept doing it, and crashed me out once I managed to get to the mirror. I can't believe I'm saying this, but apparently this stuff isn't common sense, so I agree with svensk - might need to actually post it somewhere/in the entry to aid in "Just go through the (censored) mirror."

Thank you. Because i see -many- people do that daily. . . And i have done it myself a while ago. So i know it's quite necessary

Because it doesn't exist, or was added only very recently.

It's been there forever. If you actually read the conversation.

The first option is "Yeah whatever I'll put up with it."
The second option is "OK, I'll update; don't show me this message anymore"

It was there since before the server move.

Give the HAK chicken a 75 damage acid shield. Problem solved. :twisted:

It falls under common sense, need a sign for that? I am for the acid sheath chicken, but that crashed ppl too probably.

Common sense of a server is hard to push on people that are new to the server or do not read forums....if you were brand new to Amia, just checking out the server to see how it is, see if you want to stay, experimenting....would you be happy to recieve a blasting from players for crafting in entry when a)the crafting system is new to you, and b)you had no idea that it is tabbooo because you lag others and c)you have no idea the server is going to crash because you are using this new system of crafting.

Common sense all is relative to what is common

Key point being...not most people read Forums...or even keep up to date with current rules etc especially when they aren't listed

Common sense vary where you are from. And people have played different amounts of hours on Amia. People are new. People do not read forums.

I see enough ppl doing it who are not new to Amia or the forums. Anyway, a friendly tell "stop that bullshit you crash ppl" works too. And come on, you can't tell me that attacking the hak chicken for giggles and shifting for giggles does not fall under common sense, regardless if you come from the Moon or elsewhere.

Suppose a big sign with all that stuff wouldn't hurt, though.

Aye. A friendly tell or shout would work, but there aint' always people in the entry.

Anyway. The sign is 100% Good. Only downside is that we have to make it, but i guess it pays off in the long run.
And i believe we may have need for it, now when we're raising the Login Limit to 75.

Do you have any idea how insulting a sign that says "Don't attack the chicken or we ban you" is, to the intelligence of the playerbase?
