Hi quick question regarding knockdown.
If an attacker can not hit his opponent unless he rolls a critical (say threat range 16-20), and he attempts a knock down, will the a discipline check be made if the attacker rolls a 16-20 roll? If not, is a true 20 always considered a hit for the purpose of forcing a discipline check?
Thanks

Only 20's always hit. Anything else is just a threat. a 17 on a 16-20 crit rnage is NOT an automatic hit. Only a 20 is. If you roll a 20 on a KD, yes, they need to make a discipline check.
Locking because 1: These sorts of mechanics questions really go in the build thread, and 2: Because it's answered.
