I'm just wandering how come that any indications of cybering or nudeness or anything like that ain't allowed on Amia yet hardcore paintings are allowed? Does it not fall under sexual content cathegory? ![]() Quote: By cybering, or cyber-sex, we mean descriptive, detailed emotes or talk of bodily acts performed with the aim of sexual gratification of the character or of the player in mind. Sexual acts that a normal, non-exhibitionist person wouldn't do in front of their mother are cybering. Kissing, hugging and mild expression of affection and sexuality are acceptable.
This rule may be defined further in the future, if such a need arises. |

Seems innocent to me! My character has been in far more suggestive and risque situations in DM events. (Yossarin.) <.< Nudity isn't a bad thing, and neither is the mention of sexuality. It can be a story tool, after all, or in a satire like that. I'm pretty sure it's the actually descriptive act of copulation and sexual acts and toys being used that are restricted. |

I wouldn't be nude with other girl with a zombie dildo in front of my mother right? This is an isolated example in the sea of examples that some of us were forced to witness in the past several months. And indeed I must add, the example shown is pretty innocent compared to some things including zoophilia I've seen. It is, at least, outrageous! |

zombie fetish does not translate to dildo btw. fet·ish –noun 1. an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment or habitation of a potent spirit or as having magical potency. 2. any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion: to make a fetish of high grades. 3. Psychology . any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation. so only used in the third sense does it even have sexual connotations and the way i read it in context was definitely not sexual. then again, i would not put it past a drow to be using some sort of necromancy rod... ya know. ew. anyway. as long as it doesnt say anything ridiculously explicit its ok in my eyes |

i know the orgins of the word fetish. however, lets not go into semantics, as i think that we all know what the fetish toy is reffered to. and once again this is not an isolated case. i've seen so far over 10 different paintings with sexual content or nudity. explicitly imagine two players of your choice completly naked as one of them holds zombie fetish toy, and a female drow with a leather whip watching them. It doesn't sound like an attempt of brining the renaissance to Amia. |

Well, that's why I said satire, or rather, propaganda. I think it would be better if more creativity was put into it, and was less of a childish sex-pose fad. I've seen quite a few and they're all the same to me and easily disregarded by my character and I both for being lame. The one I did like, though, never made it into art. No one will ever see Nevaeh riding that giant mustache like a horse. |

The term fetish is far more applicable in that instance as the arcane or magickal variety of the term than the sexual term. The description is fine. Quote: Dead wrote: TormakSaber wrote: Prove it or go away. I'd be very happy if I couldn't prove it. Prove it or go away. And by prove it, I mean something actually worth caring over, not you complaining because you can't handle a painting's descriptio of breasts. We are mature people on the server here, and you can ahndle an emote describing how a female character is bare chested. Once again, there is a difference between nudity and sexuality, and pornography and cybering. It is a shame thta you do not seem o be able to tell the difference between the two in any sort of mature manner and instead need to resort to threats and ignoring any post that disagrees with you. |

Threatening is not what I am doing and please, abandon you attempts to bring false accusations. That being said, you are the one who is making threats here. Threats of banning me as you don't have a proper answer to my question. Ultimatelly you are threatening to ban me for me asking a permission to post an image of the very thing I am forced to see IG? And now who's lacking common sense here? Mind that I have absolutely nothing about naked womans breasts. Quite the contrary. However I have a big problem with hypocrisy. I simply cannot stand it. So, once again, if such images are alright IG, than such images are alright on forums too? Last time I checked, we were not allowed to walk around nude IG? Speaking of which, is Amia an 18+ server? Cuz I know several players who are minors. |

"No cybering" isn't even about sexuality, ultimately. At least as far as I'm concerned, it's about not wanting antisocial creeps wasting server space doing something that doesn't contribute to the story at large and only gives us a bad reputation. It's about making sure everybody's priorities are the same: a shared story, not private and hidden self-satisfaction. I'm sure there are other reasons as well, but even if they didn't exist and we had all kinds of blatant sexual or even pornographic references in game, the above is still a good reason to keep cybering out of Amia. |

I am responsible for likely the implied zoo-philia mentioned. Toby's 'Real Fear' propaganda set: Quote: Half horse-half man is depicted holding hands with a man dressed in Banite colors with a giant symbol of Bane upon it. Both are nekkid from the middle down and are skipping through the Amian hillside. In the background is a ruffled blanket and empty bottle clearly marked: "sensual oils." That one sells more than portraits, believe it or not. It is inferred that a sexual encounter of some sort occured, but it is not seen nor depicted explicitly. Furthermore, it is within the tastes of Mediterranean art found in Ancient mosaics, on Classical era pots (though far more pornographic in this case than inferred lewd acts), as well as the medieval works written by 'The Pearl Poet' and other such depictions in the arts that contain high nudity and far darker contexts such as "The Rape of the Sabine Women" sculpture depicted by Giambologna. |

I will pose a revised extension of the Miller obscenity test as my opinion of a good guideline for our server: Descriptions of sexuality or nudity are objectionable when the text in question is of primarily a prurient interest, serve no broader puropse to server roleplay, and contains material that would easily be classified as objectionable to the server population. Non explicit juxtapositioning is not obscene, and can serve a non prurient purpose; eg comedy. |

Wait wait wait... Last I checked, what you posted was a veiled threats to post pornographic images on the forums. Yes, veiled threats. That is how it seems to come off to more than just one person. And how are you being forced to SEE such images IG? Last I knew, words did not equal visual representation. And Tormak did not 'threaten you because he didn't have an answer'. He rightly said he would lay out a ban for posting explicit images on the forums, much as I would expect any DM or mod to do. To be honest, I think it is time for a lock. This is going to go nowhere fast (except maybe a ban). |

@Nekhy And how are you going to stop someone from shaking-hands-with-mr-president while playing? Sex and sexuallity are alright as long as they are fade-to-black as far as I understand from the rules. Nothing we would not do in front of our mothers (and fathers). @Naivatkal And last time I checked bringyourfalseaccusationselsewhere. I did not threat to post porno content on forums. I merely asked weather it would be alright to post nudity (since it is insisted that nudity is alright). @Kudark 90% of our roleplay is due to game mechanics limited to our imagination. So what's your point? I'm guilty of imagining something I see described in detail? |

Well, it's about what kind of attitude and behaviour we want to encouarge, what kind of services we want to provide and what kind of audience to attract. Cybering will never the kind of productive RP we ouhgt to want on Amia, because it can never involve anyone but the two doing it in Tells. And I daresay wanking on the keyboard will distract you from the finer points of the story. Therefore it's not something we need to allow here, because it has no potential profit and only downsides. Whether it's hurting anyone is beside the point. |

Yep. It is meant to make fun of two factions IC, by implying they may be 'in bed' together to conquer the Amian country. I realized it was over the top when I thought of doing it, but it is very much In Character for Toby so I thought to that end it should be done. If you prefer, why not ask the player base to kindly add "((do not read if you are easily offended))" or "((may lead your mind to places unsuitable for children under the age of 17))." According to the head cluck, Disco, and as said by Mother Goose, nudity on Amia is not a problem, it just can't be explicit depictions of the act itself. Side note: Before it possibly creeps up, I hold no personal beef with any of the players as I have personally had nothing but good dealings with players in both factions. |

I have no problem with nudity (or even sexuality) in art, but man, you're coming off as if you actually don't think the painting is sexual. Translated from description to imagery, can you really say you'd not consider this portrait pornographic? Sexuality really is a necessary part of any halfway decent story concerning human-like creatures, and as DustSpray has demonstrated, depictions thereof can serve a veritable purpose to a story, but I doubt this image would be so easily accepted if it were played out - merely as described - by PCs in real-time. |

It isn't so much zoophilia explicitly as well. It all depends on what half of the Half-man, half-horse you go with as being the Horse-end. As it was not important to the message or context of the peice, I left that up to the viewer to decide. |

Sure they IMPLIED an activity, but that implication is left to your imagination. Now if you'd seen this...
