I've noticed some players with alternate outfits that aren't available on the usual Armor Customization selection menu (ie. the Aribeth one). Are players accessing the special outfits using a skill like Armor Crafting, the job system, or DC tokens? Thanks

Some are Job System special armors. You'll need to ask a PC armor smith to make them for you. Others can be bought for 3 DCs which includes them having a special name and bio if you write up a nice story about obtaining the item.

Nice! Does an armorsmith work exclusively with heavy armor? And if so, would a leatherworker or tailor work with light armor and cloth? Thanks again

Yup: tailor cloth and leatherworker leather.

Except the leather armour hasn't been integrated yet. But it will be at some point.
