Under the changed feats menu on this website, they state the change made in the arcane archer feat: imbue arrow to let the caster imbue a stack of arrows with one of several spells. I have tried this and it does not imbue the stack but instead only lets me fire 3 arrows of fireball. Also, do I need to be a high enough level in my caster class to cast the required spells to imbue the arrows with? Thank you for your time.

You need to cast the spell on blank, not magic arrows. You're not actually using the Imbue Feat on the arrows, but you're, say, selecting "ice Storm" and then clicking the stack of arrows as your target. The sidebar is very old there and a bit fuzzy on language. We're working on restoring the newer stuff that we ost due to some recent forum incidents.

Ok so in order to cast the fireball spells on my arrows I need to have 7 levels of wizard?

Or the ability to cast Fireball on your arrows somehow, if I'm not mistaken. Scrolls, wands and items with the ability to cast the spell will work, too.

Thank you very much for answering my question because not having to be a LV 7 wiz really helps my rogue wiz aa build.

Since this is the closest topic I could find regarding what I needa ask (and it ain't too old) decided to ask here:

Regarding Imbue Arrow: Were I to take 10 levels in AA, due to the changes in AA on Amia, what would the damage be that gets added to the arrows that're imbued?

The original spell effect is:

"The fireball damage is 10d6 plus 1d6 for every 2 arcane archer (AA) levels above 10;"

But I don't imagine it's +10d6 damage added to the arrows.

Fireball on mundane arrows doesn't give you fireball arrows. It gives you fire damage (1d8, I believe) on the stack of arrows. Your standard Imbue Arrow feat will make the exploding ones that you can only fire 3 of. It is worth noting that casting the spell on the mundane arrows will eat up a charge of your Imbue Arrow.

Derk is right. Imbue Arrow works kind of like the flame weapon/darkfire spells with the BoT additions, save the max damage on the arrows is 1d6 and you have more elemental options.

No. The elemental damage applied is 1d8. However I've noticed that when casting on arrows, they must be in the ready slot, not just in your inventory.

Actually, he means the Imbue Arrow feat that allows an AA to shoot three times per day an arrow that explodes like a fireball. I don't know what the new damage is off the top of my head and it's not in the Classes and Feats modifications list.

So I don't know the answer to your question. I guess I just wanted to point the others in the right direction! He wants to know what sort of damage the arrow that blows up does!

I don't think the standard Imbue Arrow damage has been altered at all. I think it's still 10d6 + whatever the increases are above AA 10.

Well, that makes it easy. So as long as Lascivar knows there are two different aspects of the Imbue Arrow feat (the actual arrow that you can fire that blows up and the alternate casting various spells on a basic arrow to give it damage) he'll be set.
