Dm event is not my business, the second one seems to be for announcements only, and third for background and story stuff. fourth for written stuff.
I guess if I want forum rp, I should head onto the announcement section, as it seems the closest one?

what kind of RP are you talking about, you mean RP using only the forums and not logging in NWN?

exactly that.

well thats kind of not how it works... at least not with many people, like I do IC research using only the forums so thats RP on the forums.. but thats more solo work, DM just replys on what happens.

maybe look into some of the stuff players posted on PC Stories and Character Descriptions that might be what you looking to do.

those seem to be more like the threads with no other posters than the character player itself... I don't want to go and interfere with someone elses stories, which even seem to have happened in the past.

Typically you see two types of IC forum use. One is interactve, things like auctions, or notices that invite RP that might occur just as if that media had been seen in game. The other is character development and backstories. It is helpful for many people to create more to a character that what appears on thier character sheet. Some people like to create stories, this is fantasy after all. I for one like to read these focused short stories, maybe I'll meet some of them in game and find out more...

No. You limit your own RP however you wish. Make no mistake, it's better to interact in game, but when you have a clever idea, should you be limited when theres only 3 other players on the server? Forum RP also gives the oportunity to interact with people in radically different timezones who would not normally interact.

Yes, you can make a topic for your character, many people do. Though given we are primarily a NWN RP server, the forum RP is a side dish, or support feature.

Well as I didn't find any forum rp to participate, I decided to go and make a background starter for one of my characters. It's nothing long... and might be a bit full of colored text.

Me and a few others used the story forum for that.

theres a ton of places that are designated as IC RP on the forums, don't forget the town forums, everyone seams to =( I dislike bendir dale being so empty
