Hello all. Just created my first char on Amia and wanted to introduce myself to what seems like a wonderful community. I am known across many games as Vince but this is something I am willing change if, as a PC name it conflicts with current player names or RP on the server. I have played RPG games on the PC for years and now in my 30's i am revisiting a favorite again in NWN1. I am still to get to grips with small details like chat system and will try to adopt all established server traditions and rules as soon as possible. As a small introduction to my character, Vince joined Amia as a naive fighter with little or no direction but as he approached level 4 felt uneasy in his alignment of lawful good. To try to combat these evil thoughts he trained as a paladin but could not connect to a deity or the code of such a divine path. At level 7 the paladin training stopped and fighter training continues but with the sense of evil now stirring more than ever... Plenty of time to develop character's story through forum/game co op so ill leave it there. Just laying ground work for an upcoming post on alignment change. Just wanna say, take a look at the sidebar. If you planning on going alignment switch to blackguard its not allowed. But otherwise, enjoy.

Switch to Blackguard is allowed. He would have to do a self rebuild to remove the Paladin levels entirely, however. Or use his 1/year freebie, which he probably doesn't want to do just yet. =P

Thanks all for the kind welcome.
Must admit though, even after looking through your rules and modifications on the forum i had not seen the rule about any char with levels in paladin being unable to train blackguard.
This is a build i had loved and hoped to add story to as it really has an interesting progression. I may have to research further before deciding on a build i can enjoy and also achieve within the limitations of Amia.
As for my current character he is kind of stuck now so all plans of alignment change are certainly on hold if not canceled.
I may simply start again but would not like to make similar mistakes so any links to a particular list or comprehensive guide of changes to classes would be really useful please.
I am so grateful that you spotted my plan this early as i could have wasted months on a build that would be illegal, not to mention a time consuming "falling" event. Thanks.
Congrats on what is certainly a huge achievement of the original toolset. Amia, of what i have seen is a well polished and imaginative world with great flow to the geography and player progression.

You can play a paladin and Fall just fine, but you won't be allowed to play a Paladin/Blackguard because it is exploiting several bugs in how Bioware implemented classes.
