My character Exordius Blackheart is considering possibly defecting to the side of light. While i went full on in the roleplay i am not sure yet whether this is a change i want. I am leaning in that direction but i am still unsure. I will wait for a few weeks and think on it. A change of this magnitude is not easy to effect and the implications are great. I will ponder this and eventually come to a decision. I am sorry if my roleplay made a commitment, but this is something i must have time to think about. For now though... let it be said that my character is on the fence. He is not yet good but also not nearly as evil. I thank you for understanding. Fair travels all.

Um. This is IC shit we should be finding out about ingame, not on the forums.

Character development is one of the key roles you'll have in playing your character. If you don't think it's fun on your current path, change it towards something you'll think is fun. And I don't mean request your benign blackguard to become a prancing paladin. What shapes your character will help you enjoy him more, he will have his own story to tell, his own experiences both good and bad. But hey, that's life in general, why shouldn't it be so in a life of a character?

Keep playing and let the world shape your character rather than you shaping him. You'll have fun!

Sorry for coming out bitchy. Here's what I meant to say without the snark:

When you post this stuff on the forums, it's way too easy for people to use that knowledge out of character and mess up your roleplay. Not everyone WILL, but everyone CAN, if that makes sense. Your motivations and your characters' reasonings for things aren't things that should be explained to us, OOCly. That's half of the fun of the RP, trying to deduce what's going on. There's nothing wrong with sending someone a tell of "Hey, I hope you're cool with this" to make sure they're having a good time too (Some will tell you there is, given hurt feelings I've seen in the past, I don't think there is), but don't lay it all out for everyone. You're cheating yourself out of a really good time by not leaving anything to be discovered.

Why everytime I try to do something fun, either all local guards suddenly want to arrest me, or someone tries to kill me? And all that without me being even vaguely hostile?

Well...take a look at what you consider "fun". Some people think it's "fun" to PVP half the server. Most of us don't consider that "fun", but those people legitimately do. It's all about tastes, and you want to at least tailor your fun to -fit in- where you are. Like if your fun is evilness, you're going to want to be where that's embraced and allowed. If your fun is gigglepokery, that's fine, you're going to want to go where that's a thing.

For those few weeks I was playing on Amia, I just got a feeling that either people playing here are too serious, or just waiting for ANY excuse to execute law or kill someone, however silly the reason is. Another thing I noticed that paladins are tolerating and actually even using polymorphing spells to turn into evil creatures like umberhulks, red dragons or rakshasas without any consequences to their alignment. And I am not actually even mentioning the fact that citizens (when it happens in cities borders) would gonna launch a massive panic if they'd noticed something like that.

Snowflake, I'd say disobeying guard's orders during a crisis is a fairly good reason. Especially considering you were running away the time I saw you, which forced the guard to use "violence" which was RP'd as him stopping you without killing you. When you run away like that you don't give people much choice, mechanically speaking.
Secondly, I spend far more time in Kohl than you I'm quite sure, and I have yet to see anyone 'polymorph' into a red dragon. And rakshasha are strictly a shifter-shape, I assume you're referring to me doing that. I'd like to point out that there weren't any actual people around when I was using that shape, by that I mean NPCs, it was only in the academy as a precaution against Letho and the like.

Breaking the law is breaking the law, and it's even worse to metagame the NPC guards than it is to metagame citizens.

PS. I'm fairly sure the citizens are quite used to the umber-hulks by now :)

Posting on specific incidents is heavily frowned on.

I suggest you contact a DM if you have a problem with anothers rp and I am sure they will give you a fair hearing.

Meh, frown all you want <3

Edit: Admittedly I don't know what things are like in Cordor, but throughout my time in Kohl I've seen pvp happen twice that I can remember.
Also, OP should do what his heart tells him :3

To the OP:

If that's what your character is considering, well, that's just how RP goes and floes. If you wanted to have the character's alignment changed mechanically, feel free to put up a requests in the requests board: viewforum.php?f=8
If you don't want the request to be publicly viewed, you may also submit a request through a PM to a DM.

To the others:
Guys and gals, keep things civil. And yes, it's bad to air dirty laundry in public places. Conflict resolution is private for a reason, and if there's something wrong, then contact a DM. That's what we're here for. Don't have this devolve into a flamewar. Especially by derailing and going off topic.

I am sorry about posting these... my former server requested such changes to be presented on the forums first and i still tend to post as such. I must try and remember that this server is different. I shall continue this IC as requested. Wichever way i go... it should make for some good roleplay. :)

What you did is like telling everyone the ending of the movie in a cinema. You don't want to do that. You want everyone to enjoy it.

I may or may not. Many people are begging me to stay evil and so if i do eventually change it will not be for a few months or years. I dont wish to rush into anything this early. Such game changing decisions must be made wisely and not in haste. For the time being i remain evil... but not as an active villian. I am for the moment an anti-hero and will remain as such for the forseeable future.
