Its called Game Booster, I'm not sure how this would work on Amia, due to alot of things being your net connection, but just an idea, and if not for Amia, then use it for other games.
Designed to help optimize your PC for smoother, more responsive game play in the latest PC games with the touch of a button, Game Booster helps achieve the performance edge previously only available to highly technical enthusiasts.
It works by defragmenting game directories, temporarily shutting down background processes, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance. ----------------------
Another thing I really like is called AdvancedSystemCare, and its free aswell as the above mentioned program. I used it to clean up my PC and it helps with speed a bit.
I highly recommend against any of these 'services.'

Use that for defragmenting individual folders for games.
As far as shutting down unneeded backround processes: If there are things you don't/wont need then you can do it without the need of a program/3rd party app:
"Ram cleaning" aka ram flushing is snake-oil, run less programs/msn etc etc while using your machine, it just gets rid of DLL files which need to be -reloaded- later and is completely worthless for using on vista/windows 7 machines, and really should be avoided on windows xp. Ram flushing was a windows 98 phenomenon.
'Intensifying processor performance'... An extra program just clogs up a CPU, there's -few- situations where a software can enable better performance which doesn't translate to software overclocking, or enabling sectors disabled on CPUs, which are either done via hardware because they're unstable, or some of intel's very newest silliness on low end chips.

Wow, you guys are jackasses. She was only trying to be helpful, sheesh. Correcting the mistake was fine, but all the smart ass comments really wasn't needed.

solution: pay grands of cash for a T1 or a satalite connection. nothing else does jack all. broadband might as well be called dial up 2.0
not that my pc runs slow, its just games online that glitch for me.
Considering my broadband (cable) connection can (and has) fully saturate multiple T1's and that satalite has the side effect of horrific latency (read: lag), Satallite also has the downside of sub T1 upstream bandwith.
I can't say I agree with this.
For reference: T1 = 1.544 MBits/Sec (both up and down) "Stanrdard" ADSL: 8.0 Mbts/sec down 1MBits/s up "Standard" Sattelite (best one I've found) My home buisness (broadband) connection: 15MB/s down 10MB/s up (min cap of 5MB/s down 2MB/s up) Sattelite (general): 16Mb/s down 1MB/s up
T1 can get you better uptime but the bandwith isn't that grand anymore, and for $300 ish a month.. meh. And I can never seriously recomend sattelite for gaming due to the
At work, I'm spoiled, we have a leased OC3 that I get to play on 155MB/s up and down.

I have a good friend who for a time only had a satelite connection for her net access. It was constantyl dropping out and playing up and causing her no end of irritation. It would be a long time, even if it was available to me before I would ever consider anything like that.

Uh, yes, when a player is telling the community to download the equivalent of viruses nd malware onto their computer, I will whack them, no matter how good intentioned. This stuff does not work, bloats yourcomputer, actually makes it run slower, and it hellish to get rid of.

As laughable as your explanation is, it's not what you said originally, is it? Had you actually said something constructive and not been an ass, you would not have to constantly make excuses for yourself. But thanks for the belated clarification anyway.

I don't see the "ass" in this...
What's the problem, really?
The problem is that if the information given was wrong or even hazardous, then the opportunity to correct and inform is there for the taking. Assuming that the OP isn't someone being intentionally malicious and cruel. Anyone think that's true?
But that's not what any of the responces were, until Dwagin both clarified and suggested alternatives. Everyone else simply posted to increase thier post count or make fun to be one of the cool kids. That's called being an Ass. I'm sure some thought that their responces were intended to be "helpful", but being tongue in cheek is a demeaning and cruel way to help people.

White Knight to English Translation
"You did not bend to the will of my <insertchickhere>, and in the best efforts of proving that I am her righteous savior, shall point out your lack of submission to every (potentially flawed) request! The <insertchickhere> was of course being absolutely righteous, and in pointing this out I shall demonstrate that I am the one who has realized this; by hating and chastizing those who dare provide opportunity for me to prove all others are 'bad' and that <insertchickhere> should let me screw her brains out for rescuing her from this.
