New player here! Rosette's the name.

Recently the server I used to play on is dying, so I have decided to look around for a new home.

Popped into Amia for a bit since I have noticed there are a couple of European players! But no matter how long I looked, it is fairly difficult to find players to RP with.. and the constant server crashes didn't help I guess.

Anyhoo, hoping to try my luck a lil later.

Hey there, welcome to Amia and the forums!

Just hang in there, and you should get the hang of things (and get some RP generated too).
TZ issues seem to be rampant for some people, but the DMs and players here are really active and awesome so you shouldn't have much trouble after long.

Sure it's a crash and not a scheduled reset you've experienced? The latter comes every four hours, which is quite a bit more often than crashes.

Welcome, in any case! Euro times are a bit bad for finding RP, I guess, since US folks sleep and Euro folks are busy with things. But Euro evenings are much better.

The Europeans who play at funny times tend to stick to faction RP as it quarantees interaction in times when there are few people on. Prod people in Tells and see what they are up to.

The server has been crashing a lot lately. Whether an actual crash or an ISP timeout, I'm not sure which is more common. I've just noticed a lot of it lately, so it may have been one of those times where it crashes five times within twenty minutes, like it did this morning.

I have noticed a lot of timeouts from massive lag spikes. Is it the lowsy backup again?

There's been fairly large amount of times that the server is timing out over the course of the last month or so ISP wise. Last night was really bad for several hours.
