I found a thread that has links to various factions, but most of those links are broken. Is there a description, thread, and/or website(s) for the current active factions? I'd really like to get involved in some faction-based RP and action on the server and I'm starting a character from scratch. If I had some info, I could tailor my character a bit to the faction that appeals to me. Thanks for your help.

Depending on what sort of PC you wanna play, yes there are a bunch of factions around. Most of their forums are locked, however.

There's a lot more fun Dark sides than Banites. Just sayin'

If you like being secrety, evil, and love undead, then the Velsharan would probably be the way forward! But stay away from Tarkuul, that place is far from Evil no matter what anyone says. Its basically Cordor with lack of population and undead guards.

Check the wiki, there's a few factions listed there. Some are probably outdated/don't exist anymore though. It's also not a complete list. It's something though.

Alternatively, make a PC all on your own and find out about everything ICly as you go.

Thanks everyone. I only asked because my work schedule keeps me away a LOT most of the year, and I didn't want to waste a bunch of time. The best option is obviously to make what I like, then find a faction that fits. Thanks again

This is a careers meeting. We're giving out options. Not railroading folks. Your mileage may vary with any faction.

There's no reason to flame anyone or any place in this forum. I don't understand. It's like people make it a hobby to see how fast they can get a topic locked.

I do advise making what you'll enjoy playing and there's likely something out there that'll tickle your fancy for him/her

Make a druid or ranger and join the Grove!

There now I made some advertise too.

Also you get Skeletor for free as he always hangs out in the forest anyhow.

Plus a bunch of rude but still very fun rangers and a bunch of unsocial druids who surprisingly can be very social afterall when you catch them in the right mood.
