There is a requirement for you to have 20 in your casting stat to take an epic spell, yes?

Can that spell be taken on the same level you have taken "Great CHA" etc on?

I think you have to already have 20 to get the spell. Taking a Great [fill in the stat] feat won't give you access to epic spells on that same level.

im not sure a prereq for taking the spell is 20, as thats not a base nwn requirement. but you cant cast the spell unless you have 20.

I ask mostly because it's a server thing, rather than a bioware thing. I didn't know if it just smacked you, serverside..or if it was set up so you can't select it.

As long as your base stat is 20, you can cast the Epic Spell. So you're fine, unless yous omehow manage to cast between the time you grab the Epic Spell feat and the Great Charisma feat.

..so.. If I took Ruin as a feat, and on that same level then took Great Wisdom as a bonus feat, it'd all still work out just fine?

Yeap.

You don't need a base of 20 on your caster stat to take epic spells; you just need to meet the required CL & spellcraft. One of my earliest mistake was having a 19 Wis cleric who had greater ruin but could never cast it. =(
