Is it possible? Or will the game ignore anything in subfolders in override?

Subfolders will get ignored, yes. Just tried it.

All you can really do is keep track of what files come from what override by writing it down in a text file manually. ::shrugs:: Better than nothing, should you choose to get rid of a specific override.

Write a batch file that associates overrides folders with a name, say of the override you have, then make it move the files to a subfolder.

If you can do that it makes life a HELL of a lot easier.

If you know a bit of code you could write an override changer that alters the alias in the NWN.ini file. By default it reads:

[Alias]
(other aliases)
OVERRIDE=.\override

Of course the quick and dirty way (from a batch file for example) is to rename the override folder to something else and then rename your desired folder to 'override' so NWN uses it instead.

Obviously, it doesn't do anything about combining various overrides you may have. But it's easier to just have complete override folders with all the files needed for each, since any time you copy or move a large number of files it tends to take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.
