I'm new on the servers and have a dwarf I started on Amia B. I saw the map room in Wiltun Keep and was wondering if other abroad areas are planed? Like I saw the locations marked on the map for Waterdeep, Neverwinter and Luskan. Is there a location to go to in the Moonshae Isles? I really like Amia Island, don't get me wrong. I just love seeing other places I have read about recreated also. Graywolf |

I'm no master when it comes to B but im pretty sure neverwinter and helms arn't there, and would require a mass amount of ripping off the first game for the mapping. which for a server I imagine is huge, unless you just have the dock area and lock the gates because of the plague or some jazz. |

The closes thing to the official mainland of fearun is Frozenfar... Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Amia brogtenstein, carraigh and forstakkr aren't actually part of fearun outside of amia. Oh Muldurand the desert area is officall fearun. That's about it I think |

The Frozenfar is part of the mainland, but our locations don't exist in "Canon FR". The Mulhorand Desert is canon FR but Khem itself is not. This general pattern holds true through all Amia: Ruathym is a canon reigon, but Fortress Wltun, Caraigh, and the Mystran Monolith don't exist. We shy away from adding canon locations because of the work involved in doing so. You must faithfully recreate a place that hhas already been faithfully created elsewhere far better, then we must also worry about "canonicity" regarding how we play our NPCs for wat happens. It's easier to make our own locations, or to choose remote or interesting though unused areas of Faerun, and make them our own. This is why we don't touch the sword Coast: IT's overdone, everyone knows exactly how it works, and the last thing any DM wants is an argument with a player over how to properly play some mage in a tower because a book says so. |

Yups! Every area has a place on the FR map, but isn't on that map as a location. |

That said, I would like an Elminster Cameo. |

Have him holding hands with Drizz't while he's at it. ...you peacock... Tormak's pretty much whacked the nail into the plank. There's no creativity when everyone knows everything. |

I must say that in the last few years (with the exception of the Wiltun/Luskan thing), Amia seemingly has felt more and more removed from the mainland and its FR setting. I'd like to see some push back towards FR in some form. |

Please mate... don't invite the "there should be less freak characters, less good drow and more accurate representations of Paladins and deity representations on this server!" discussion. We all know how it'll end, in circles with feces flying everywhere like a blender without a lid. |

Unfortunately I agree with just about everything said in this topic. Which is an absolute mindf--lip, mindflip. I love that Amia isn't strictly cannon, I love that players have more freedom than they'd have in probably any other setting/server. I love that I can travel A and B and find myself asking "where the flip am I?". But there's room for colourful feces; good Drow, bad Paladins, made-up-on-the-spot-bullcrap. The good outweighs the bad. To stay true to the topic however - Amia C sounds expensive but fuuuuuun. Moar giants. |

Understood and I can completely agree. On the cannon thing, you know it really would be as easy as saying "OK people from this point on in the time line we are our own setting. We are not bound by cannon, we'll make our own version of history." But doing some of those other areas wold be a huge undertaking and I imagine all of you stay busy enough as active as your servers are. Thank you for the answer and I really enjoy Amia so far. Some great work has been done here. Graywolf |

Alternate timelines allow you to do crazy things for new plots, like destroy Vulcan. |

Its already been hard enough with Khem. I wouldn't be adding to many places that can be influenced by outsider forces. |
