I've uninstalled NWN a month ago or so and reinstalled it now. I've entered my Bioware password and attempted to connect Amia. It asks for another password. What the hell is that password? Is it a forum account password? I don't think so for it doesn't work. So what kind of password is that? I'm sorry but that beats me. So many passwords everywhere.

We don't have a player password. Are you sure you didn't accidentally click DM client?

Ah, there seems to be a client-server version conflict. My NWN DVD is 1.68. But I can't install 1.69. I says that I cannot install the patch while add-on is installed. What a bullshit.

Whoever invented serial numbers should be hanged high... Just try to enter the bloody numbers for the third time in the same day. For each bloody add-on (3 blasted numbers in total).

Vanilla NWN + Hordes of the Underdark and Shadows of Undrentide. v.1.68. The setup installs every one of those three bastards at once. I've just reinstalled it again and now the 1.69 patch says it cannot find NWN install dir! Can you believe it? I think I'm gonna give it a break. God, how I hate localization politics...

Should fix all issues. Whoa, hold yer horses. Why a critical rebuild? I've had it running before. Just don't have a frakkin' idea why it doesn't work now. Dunno. Maybe it's the Win7 x64 (but it bloody worked under that OS before), maybe its some other shit... I'm tired of making it working... It doesn't even start in windowed mode any more despite setting the proper arguments in the nwn.ini file... -sighs- What a crap. I curse you Bioware! ya hear me?

Log into your bioware account on their forums here, then enter your CD Keys here. NEVER enter your CD keys anywhere else except during installation. Anyway, that's helpful, as you can just copy/paste the CD keys into the installer. Alternatively, instead of reinstalling, copy a complete NWN install onto a USB stick with lots of gigs. Then just paste onto the computers you want to play on as needed... or just play right off the USB.

Well well. How about THAT? I've downloaded another frakkin' polish 1.69 patch and the bastard installed itself. Who would know there are bloody different versions of localized patches? I guess no one... So it was all because of version conflict. The versions now match and I can connect the server. To all my countrymen... here's the proper file to raise yer game up to 1.69: http://www.gram.pl/pliki_szczegoly.asp?id=1877Conclusion: Publishers... Stick with English versions...

Critical rebuild basically updates your NWN, but does it more effectively than by alternative update methods(don't ask me how, I just know it works)
Especially good for you since you have just reinstalled. If you still have problems after all the other avenues you have taken, then I say try it.

Thank you all folks for your feedback. The problem has been solved in post viewtopic.php?p=808500#p808500. The thread can be closed now. Back in game, baby.
