An elven AA can carry hundreds of arrows that weigh nothing. A gnome mage can carry hundreds of bolts that weigh nothing. A human cleric can carry hundreds of bullets that weigh nothing. A little hin (who gets that bonus to thrown weapons) can carry hundreds of darts.... no wait. The itty-bitty darts weigh a ton!

Ok not a ton but really, what's the reason for the weighty darts?

Because Bullets, Arrows and Bolts are classed as Ammo

Thrown Darts, Throwing Axes etc are classed as Thrown Weapons

Hope that clears things up.

Then shouldnt the hard, and quite deadly bullets weigh? Imagine holding one hundred dime-sized bb's in your hand. Pretty heavy. Though I agree that arrows, and bolts should be realitivly weightless.

A slight disadvantage that the Magic-arrow-bags help to make up for.

All of the throwing class (except Shurikens) count as "heavy thrown", meaning they add strength modifier automatically without the mighty property.

So, it's a trade off of adding a STR mod automatically for heavy? This does not make my 10 STR Hin very happy. Not happy at all.

I'm not clear how the magic-arrow-bags help...

And is that "heavy thrown" also the reason it's only 50 and not 99?

Yes.

They help by that you don't need to carry very many darts. you can restock mid-adventure.

And yes.

Slings count as throwing weapons. In other words, a halfling with a sling gets +1 to their attack.
It's essentially their preferred missile weapon.

You complain about darts? Try having five stacks of throwing axes on a zen archery hin. My only char ever who needed a bag of holding pre-epic desperately.

Does GMW BoT page work on darts and throwing axes?

Yes, but it doesn't add mighty as far as I know. Just a +5 AB.
