What happens if you get Monkeygrip on a Halfling/Gnome? Can they wield Greatswords + Towershields together then? |

I just thought they would wield longswords and large shields in one hand, like a human or any race that can. If i'm right it just lets you hold 2 handed weapons in one hand, for humans, that works for greatsword, for halflings that means longswords, scimmy, etc... I don't think a halfling could ever wield a tower shield and greatsword... But that's my thoughts |

They "Could", but Monkey Grip as a feat only functions on weapons one size higher than you. It would let a halfling use a Greatsword two handed, or a longsword one handed with a shield, but that's it. |

Seeing a halfling with a greatsword would be awesome on Amia. ^^ |

Aha. Then I see... Would a halfling loose the Small-statue feat if they took Monkeygrip? |

If the monkey grip feature works the way the old fey shifting bug did, then yes. It turns you into a larger model, lets you equip your weapons, then shifts you back. If it happens in the same way as the EYe of the Shifter, that fey get.. then you loose your old size mod, and retain the new one. Also mind that longsword+shield on halflings will have an odd animation, as they still wield the longsword as if it is a two handed weapon. I'm not sure if the greatsword have an animation at all, or if they'd act as if they had nothing in the hand. |

Would a DM assist anybody asking to test the monkey grip? |

I will, if I'm not busy. Not exactly sure what needs testing. I can answer any question you'd have, definitively. |

I'm more interested to see what the ACP does to it; And how the fighting animations look like; and how everything fits and such. It must meet the requirements of the eye; must it not |

Ahhh. Most of the ACP animations look terrible with it, I'm afraid. At least, to my eye and the ones I've tested. I think pretty much all of them look terrible, though... |

Well on humans with greatsword and shield it looks pretty awesome, IMHO. Since they hold the shield at the hilt of the sword, in a pretty classical way. (At least it is, if you've watched too many movies). All the other races, with all the other stuff.. looks just abysmal though. |

The moral of this discussion is: play more humans! ::nods:: |

Tested the monkey grip widget out now; And I agree with the above posters. Play more humans; And don't buy the widget. It looks .... ::makes a face:: |

Cry your own rivers. Monkeygrip with a half orc using a great axe and tower shield actually looks alright with a few of the ACP functions. |
