I am not aware of who was involved in designing the new caraigh areas but I'd just like to say, everything about it is fantastic! The areas feel enormous, the spawns are well balanced both in the number per area, difficulty and they make sense! There are quests galore as well with really well thoughtout dialogue and IC consequences! The durations on certain creatures special abilities is just right...so much so that i wish all abilities lasted that length of time!
Absolutely fantastic! I really enjoyed exploring and RP'ing in the new areas. And you gain levels at just the right pace. Admittedly no one used misty potions and flame weapon scrolls and I am so glad of this! Really allowed me to enjoy the area!
Absolutely great! I wish I could see more of this on Amia, especially Amia A and in the later levels of the game.

I must second this opinion. Credit where credit is due. Most of the ''improve amia'' threads are an attempt to make it play more like the lower levels of B. The spawn density is improved, more NPC's and quest and just generally more versimilitude compared to A. The ''circular gravy train dungeons'' are a thing of the past... and OMG you actually *needed* a rogue in parts due to locked doors and *deadly* traps.
See it is not all complaints and nerfing. A big ''well done'' for those involved in the new area designs.

Caraigh -is- beautiful. A work of art if I ever saw one. Especially that village around the mill. Had I not already picked Endir's Point as my Rangers home, I would take that village, hands down. Its simply beautiful beyond what I ever expected to see in NwN.

My dwarf basically lives there It's a very nice area, especially with the tree override.

Again have to agree. The tree override breathes much needed fresh air into amia. I urged anyone out there to get them asap and just take a wander around caraigh.

Caraigh is fantastic. It is also weather-synced by region to a real life place and draws its day to day weather from somewhere in the real world. Cookie if anyone figures out where!

That is one thing I want to do as soon as I get back playing.
But I am still hoping Disco will expand (if he did not yet!) the Whispering Rift.
I could spend hours there. It is so pretty!
If it was not a hostile place/hunting ground, you can be certain I would have a PC actually ~living~ there.
Plain awesomess!

With all the fog and rain, it must be my home city of Bergen!

Explore! The title gives a hint, though.

I'm going to say its for reasons like this that Amia's designers are awesome.
That is just so cool.
