Newbie here. I spent some time reading the job system rules and using the search function and didn't find any answers, so I thought I would expose my ignorance in this fashion.
So my character is a rank 1 man-at-arms. He gets an assignment to go to the Cordor: New Tunnels and kill a particular named critter.
1. Is this assignment logged in some way, or is it persistent? I.e., if I log out / get booted / lag out / server resets, when I return, is this job still outstanding? Will my target hang out in the same spot forever more until I show up to beat him down?
2. Can another character mosey through the tunnel and kick my target's butt before I get there, or use his own job book on him (if that person is also a man-at-arms)? I ran around that area for quite a while but didn't see hide nor hair.
3. The man-at-arms trainer seems to happily give out jobs whenever you talk to him. If you speak to him multiple times do you now have multiple outstanding jobs logged, or is it like hitting "refresh" and you now only have the new job?
Thank you for reading.

From observation using the other hunter classes as a guideline:
1. It's there until server resets.
2. When you enter the area there should be some spawning feedback. The spawn is immune to attacks from other PCs other than your own.
3. It is refresh as long as you do not accept the job.

It is persistant until reset, but will not actually spawn until you are in the area.

No, only the character with the 'mission' can attack it and recieve a roll for XP and gold. Sometimes they can be hard to find, pay attention to the actual location given. In your own example there are several maps in the area with the same or similar titles. You will know when you find your target by a message in the combat window.
3. The man-at-arms trainer seems to happily give out jobs whenever you talk to him. If you speak to him multiple times do you now have multiple outstanding jobs logged, or is it like hitting "refresh" and you now only have the new job?
You can only have one active 'mission' at a time. Once you accept it, it should tell you that you already have a mission. If it doesn't, then it's a bug and should be reported in the job system bug report thread. If you have a mission and can't find your target, you'll have to wait until reset for the hunting job to reset.

Just a heads up. Men-At-Arms because less effective at higher levels and less worth the time. Great RP job though.
