I'm trying to create a female pc, but when I get to the last step, there aren't any voice sets to choose from. I checked out making a male pc, and all the voices are available. So I thought I'd download and reinstall the soundset.2da from NWN vault, but when I try do that I get a table full of data, not a 2da file I can put in my override folder. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? |

I have the same issue. It's a flaw with the male/female voiceset files that come with the pack, and it eliminates all voiceset options for female characters and puts all the options (including the female options) in the selection for male characters. To remedy this, I have to constantly remove the files from the override and re-enter them from the other gender's folder. We may not have the same pack, though. That's just what I have, and I have a similar issue. |

It sounds like the same issue. What 'pack' did the soundset file come with? And I have no idea what you mean by removing files and re-entering them from the other gender's folder. I don't see male/female soundset files. I'm a total n00b when it comes to this stuff. |

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... ail&id=205 http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... ail&id=204 Two different overrides (choose one) that give access to all voices. From what I can tell, you should have access to all from either gender (although one seems to have divided them into male / female). |

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? that table full of data IS your 2da, just save it as soundset.2da in your override folder. alternatively, open up the current file you've got in there, and check the "gender" column. I cant remember if 0 or 1 is female, but all you need to do to make a male soundset available to a female character is swap that digit around and reload nwn. Once a character has been created you can delete/reset your 2da, the voiceset number will have been saved to your character and that 2da doesn't mess with it anymore. |

OK, I'm beginning to understand this. I checked the soundset 2da that I've had all these years and all the genders are set to 0 (male). That's why female voices were showing up when I made male pcs. The new 2da has 1's for the female voices, so it's working properly now. Thanks for the help. |

In regards to voicesets... For some reason, I can't actually hear some of the voices in the game. |

default voices? Maybe people made their chars with a custom voiceset. Try with an empty override folder. Easy way to try if it's on your end is the just go to character selection screen and click through all the voice sets see if you hear them. (dont forget to enable them all for selection at character screen first) If that bugs with and without your current overrides installed then I suppose reinstalling nwn could work. For completeness sake, although I'm quite sure you knew those things: - some sets dont have a full range of commands, some can't curse, some don't have a battlecry,...etc. It's none of that? - is it some sets? or maybe all sets and you just didnt pay much attention. Are your voices on in the sound options menu (seperate slider) |
