There are no decent ones. Mahtan and I went through the CEP collection and well... bleh. They are clearly inferior to the stuff we have now.

Not to be a stickler, but I have seen good ones on other servers; is this a matter of opinion or is it just this particular hak?

Not sure, but was CEP and that has most of the options available.

O, and I skipped anything that looked like it came from Kinky Kingdom or was male/female only. Which was over half of the chest pieces. The remaining just looked amateuristic compared to the quality of the usual ones. Ugly textures, shabby models. Maybe there were one or two decent ones, and I didn't want to get into extracting, texture search, 2da editing etc just for those two. It's quite a bit of work, what we have now took me about 2 weeks.

The robes were a lot nicer, so I simply put in a lot of those instead of chests.

Meh. Well, I can't ask you to give more time seeing as all the work you already do for us... for free... because you're a nice guy who cares about the server, lol..... But maybe if this polling gets a high result, it is something that can be looked at again at a later date... when you're . . . still as busy as you are now? <_< . . . I do know there's some crap on the CEP ones, but I think more options are better than what we have now, especially as I know that personally, I liked a heck of a lot more than just the 1-2 you mentioned. Aesthetically, I'd ask you to let the players decide what they like and don't like, but time wise . . . well, I can understand that constraint, so I'll try not to be bratty about it :D

But!! that said and done, perhaps if there is a high "yes" result, it is something that can be revisited at a later time?

Well, I would assume you, since you'd have to make them, lol.... But of course you have a point.

I'm just saying, I personally believe the aesthetics decision should be made by players. Different people have different taste and I for one have always disliked the standard cloth chest options available.

Yeah there is a reason when you go on CEP servers and try crafting you find a lot of pieces they get rid of your torso all together, especially as guys. Thats because its female/male only. For Amia we tried to make sure that would not happen.

I can't really say for sure, but unless some new clothes pack comes out that is just amazingly great, we probably wont see those new chests.

I do know some of the chests that go with the arms are not here. I think they still had some male/female issues though. =\

Few Chest piece and robes I do know that are not kinky and decent. Also, one for those that RP preggie women.

I am also, guessing that on the AC base many torso were changed out as well?

Noticed this with chainshirt & chainmail suits for torso only. I have CEP 2.3.. there were a few new good items in. Even on robes new 'mythic' runic one and of course the spanish train skirt and nobles robe (yes, they are nice) Also, the one female barbaric robe skirt and come oriental stuff. Seen one cloth weave chain suit before as well.

I do see this is just a small amount what there is as a whole. I hope to see more selections, it is great step forward in being a bit different than everyone else.

Not bitching but know there is more of the suits that are not kinky =coughs= Although we know the drow society would have loved some the spider kinky stuff. Oh and uh.. some cleavage bodices are not kinky.. *giggles*

Thanks for the input, everybody :) I at least feel happy b/c I feel my point was heard :)

And thanks to all you guys who put so much work into the server; please don't feel this was just about "more more more" because I totally appreciate what you do!! For free! For ingrates! And for those of us who actually DO um... ...grate? ....grateful. I mean, grateful us.

That's in, but can't be crafted because it's a female only model. Merrien will make some prefab clothing, though.

There are some very very nice chest pieces for clothes (0 AC bonus) from the CEP. But really, what I would like to see alot, are the nice cloacks that look like real cloacks, avaiable in the CEP. If I recall correctly, the used to be accessed as neck models.

I haven't looked to see what is new yet. I may not even recognize all of the new either, for as much as I've crafted, I've not ever sat down and looked over every peice of every type of base armor. I usually just work on the fly with that.

At any rate, I'm going to go with:

Be grateful for what we do get, because Disco wanted the Tilesets as his standing grounds for HAK. He could have easily said not to bother with clothing sets yet, or at all. Same with the DM team that worked on this to bring heads/clothes/tilesets/new icons/ect input.

So anything more to be given, I thank you each whom have been a part of the proccess.

To those wanting more already... Slow down. Sit back. Think about the fact you didn't have these things before. Yeah? Cool.

Aside from that, I wouldn't compare Amia to other servers for content. Yes in part because I don't play any other servers. But not for any lack of playing a lot of games and seeing lots of clothing styles and customizing (City of Heroes was rediculous in this sense to those whom know it).

Amia is Unique. So treat it as such. Please?

On the topic of HAK stuff; is any of it going to be Oriental in theme? This includes clothing, buildings, tilesets and whatever else they are called?

p.s.: Please no Samurai helmets... you know what will happen... "Price check on a million katanas! A million katanas at register 5!".

I can't have my kimono, you can't have your shrine
In seriousness (is that a word?), though Disco has said flat-out no oriental stuff.

Why no new Katanas? I didnt see a good reason for this?

Because I hate BioWare for putting tacky ninja nonsense into the Sword Coast.

Actually, I managed to make a decent (I think) kimono by mixing up some of the old and new pieces, as well as some coloring options.

You can get fable armor pieces.

There is one decent chest piece in the model area that looks like it's suffering from a bad screenshot more then anything.

Otherwise little else. There is a lot of chest armors out there, but much of its is "Male only" or "Female only". Which generally translates to "I'm to lazy to make it both genders."

Some of the CEP 2.3 chests are male/female usable but one in particular got rid of a horrible clunky, chunky belt monstrosity for the top which was otherwise very well put together. Example out of CEP? #18 is the same as #26 but without that horrible belt like an I-beam wrapped around the waist.

Surprised the bustier/lace top didn't make it. It has a male counterpart but the jiggliness of it might have been a factor.

Also robe #82 is exclusive to women but it actually is incredibly well made and a favorite of more than a few. But 83 just screams gentry!

The semi tuxedo tops seem a bit like the formal wear that so many seek but fail to get with the trench coat look so often. Both the laced ascot with high and low vest of #28 and 31 just seem like good clothing picks for chest pieces.

Have to agree with the barbarian furry tops. They do more sense to wear that than a bikini tube over your chest in snowy lands or nothing at all. Barbarian doesn't always mean stupid and tough doesn't always mean 'ignores hypothermia setting in'.

Also the higher armor chest piece that looks like it's made of bark or crushed velvet seems nice and is male/female.

For the pregnant top...it..gives men moobs. It...it's just not pretty.

Actually, fashion for full plate and other heavy armor generally involved stripping down armor to it's minimum pieces. Chestplate, Gauntlets maybe greaves. Then covering up the rest of the spots with cloth. Such as silk shirts, pantaloons, tights whatever. Metal combined with clothing is very much high fashion for platemail.

Cloth looking torso's on plate or other armor would be kinda silly.

I do however wish the Elven Chainmail robe was included. That outfit was plain awesome. Shame they didn't make it for fat pheno's since the creator hated fat phenos.

It also looks completely out of the norm. I made NPCs with different suits to compare them and well... it just doesn't fit. Besides, it was pretty huge in bytes.

The Barbarian felt stuff I personally found horrible. Looks like the got some cardboard box on their body. The texture is just awful on larger surfaces.

The chest pieces I actually liked were the ones that make you look like an 18th century gentlemen. Which is exactly the reason why I didn't use them. Nice for Ravenloft, not for Amia.

Well maybe you should get someone to make a few new clothing models for Amia, rather than waiting around to see what pops up.

Not me though, I only have any experience with 2D textures, that isn't quite the skill set you need ;)

Chest pieces and others aren't a big problem though, from what I've seen. Amia manages to have a great variety between what's avaleable and colors + styling.

The biggest problem I see, is everyone wearing the same cloaks and helmets >_>

Helmets are funny actually, since we have more helms to choose from then anything else. But it's just that 80% of the helms look like ass, and the colour hue's look completely different on one helm to another. It makes using them really hard, since most of them end up looking terrible with the armor.

If I may suggest for cloaks. These.
Lisa's Third Stab at Fancy Schmancy Cloaks
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=6893

Add's three well done cloaks of 1.69 qualitity. They are styles people have wanted on NWN for years, but Bioware never added. Including an extremely sort after tattered cloak.

And remember above all. Lisa MADE the 1.68 cloaks.

Some of the Deity Cloaks are based on that tattered appearance. Will probably be possible to make the deity symbol the same colour as the cloak to make it plain. Might have a few funny comments as to why your guy has a faded Eye of Gruumsh on his back, but that can be explained away. Just a splash of dirt.

Diety Cloaks are to numerous in number, it would cause the Hak pak's size to increase rather dramatically from what I understand. Including basic versions is a better idea, as everyone can then use them and not have to suffer through garish diety symbols.

I added about half of the deity cloaks, based on the number of followers when I made the hak. It takes time to update the crafting menu, though, so you'll have to be patient.

Oh, just a little update. While crafting, I realized something. many of the new thigh models that have that new "cloth" texture to it have no pelvis models to match them. Meaning however much you want to use the new models, you are stuff with a pelvis that will often look totaly off.

This will sound petty and selfish(it is), but can we have some alterante visuals for monk weapons? Kamas look soo lame

Not too late, actually, but I couldn't find one. Besides, I ignored all the Asian stuff. No new katanas, no new kukris, etc etc, Yes, that's on purpose.

Why no new Katanas? I didnt see a good reason for this?

Because I hate BioWare for putting tacky ninja nonsense into the Sword Coast.

Mind that I haven't got anything against Asia or Asians. I'd be as horrified to see rapiers in a world that's loosely based on Asian history as I loathe to see kimonos in one that based on European history (which I file our server under). I won't actively go against it, but I am not going to support it either.

Yups, Amia is Faerun flavored, which means classical medieval. Chaarcters can come over from Kara-Tur but they'll have to adapt to a culture that doesn't wear wood sandals and kimonos. :D

Well thats a shame. I only wanted to see more different looking weapons. I dont personally care for Kimono's or what not. Out of curiousity, iff the Katana is so disliked for not fitting in to the world, why bother having it in the module to begin with? Either have something in and support it fully or just cut it.

That wouldn't be sensible. We don't have to invest anything in the current selection of katanas. It would take effort to get rid of them. That doesn't mean you have to actively expand their selection, especially if you have to make choices to keep your hak size down.

Thats like smashing your hand off to get rid off a hangnail. Its in the original game, and there's no reason to not support something that's a base item in the game.

Nothing wrong with the base katanas in appearance, whereas a lot of other weapons needed realistic looking options/updates to look better.

Probably the most ready example of weapons needing a visual update were rapiers. The existing models for that type of weapon were just.. wrong wrong wrong.

Plus what Disco said about extra effort.
