I have a couple of questions about Red Dragon Disciples.

1. Does Amia acknowledge the Prismatic Dragon? (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Prismatic_Dragon)
Also, if that is the case, could a Chaotic Neutral character follow it? It says that it's usually neutral.

2. What alignment should a character be if they want to follow the Shadow Dragon?

(I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place again. I tend to have a habit of doing that. X.X)

Not sure about the first question, but Shadow Dragons are generally CE and I think that it's fine as well if you pick an alignment one step away from the supposed one (CN/NE in the case of a CE dragon).

And you are pretty much required to be the alignment of the dragon type you are going to be. (At least as far as I understand it)

Also: Lore Thread for these sorts of questions :D

Just remember that Gem dragon disciples require an approved request BEFORE YOU MAKE THE CHARACTER.

Also, no dragon that I know of is "generally" any alignment. They are fixed. Golds are ALWAYS LG, Shadows are ALWAYS CE (and are in fact the most foul of the dragons)

You should tell that to Mr. Styx dragon.

She can't, Styx water isn't exactly hospitable to humans.

I almost asked who you are and if this is the airport, but then I remembered that that's Lethe, not Styx.

Would a Bard disciple of a Dracolich of the Cult of the Dragon be a part of the Dead Poet Societ- nevermind.

A good frame of reference is that if it isn't listed, then you must request it.
If you have to think about if it would be allowed, you should probably request it.

Dracolich is not a race, species, or subspecies of dragon.

It's not actually irrelevant, Iron. We've had at least 2 people I can think of claiming to be dracolich disciples.

Actually, that's just something Dentiah says IC. He's not a Dracolich Disciple, in actuality. But that's all I'll say because the rest should be IC. Just thought I'd say something 'cause the last post seemed to have a negative connotation to it.

I think that's one of the best loopholes around the rules. People can claim to be anything ICly, just that you're not DM recognised OOCly.

Anyone can claim anything IC, period. That's called RP. :P You wouldn't believe some of the things Zelly claims she is. xD

That's the good thing about it. As long as the player is happy with the experience of being a cool character like a Daughter of Bahamut, I think that's more important.
If you RP it consistently enough, eventually other characters will recognise you ICly as a Daughter of Bahamut, with divine powers :D

That is so not the point. But I will leave it alone! I was just stating the obvious, anyway.

Hehe. Exactly! Dentiah claims to be one but there is no such thing in reality. Hes just a (Insert IC information here) Dragon Disciple who has pretty much grafted and twisted his body in all sorts of fun ways to "appear" as he wishes and fit the role that he is trying to portray.

Role Play is very much like real life in that your character can mold/alter/say/do what is required get an expected reaction or "image" out there. People just have to remember while your character can say what he/she wants and appear however they wish the line is -crossed- the moment someone Role Plays abilities or attributes that the 'thing' they are trying to pretend to be in character has.

No, I wasn't talking about Dentiah. There are others who claim it OOCly, I simply don't feel it's necessary to call them out. However, we do need to stress that it is /not/ an RDD class, because undeath doesn't work like that.

Wasn't saying you were! :P Just saying how it is done from my perspective since my characters name was mentioned. Yes... it does need to be stressed that you cannot just be a Dracolich Disciple. You are a *Insert Color* Disciple who may just claim it or appear it, etc.

Right. IC is fine. You can claim you're the direct descendant of whoever, but you can't actually claim that OOC.

geeez...just make a simple human character. Human is the most destructive race and thus no need to combine it with freak traits.

Demons are the very essence of Chaos. Infact they where created from it. Demons have pretty good imaginations too, The abyss is ever changing, never stable, and there are infinite types of new demons that are created out of 'imagination'.

This. My point was that it's irrelevant, because there can still be disciples of a dracolich (because the Dragon Disciple class implies you being a disciple to an individual dragon, at least in some case) whatever their bloodline, and Yossarin's and Letum's jokes are relevant regardless.

General Discussion is not the place for the spam-fest that this thread has turned into.
