I would like to go shifter, but I don't like going into druid roleplay. Can I roleplay that my character isn't a druid, by not using druid abilities and so on?

Pretty sure there's a way to be a Shifter without being a druid in PnP. I think it requires a request to play a non-druid shifter.

There's a bazillion ways, but the main way to do it without a request isd to be a druid that stopped being a druid after you became a shifter. The rest are things like Lycanthropes, Fey, Dopplegangers, etc.

You're still going to require those 5 druid levels though because we're not going to leto Wildshape onto a nondruid character.

of course I will take the 5 druid levels, I wasn't requesting that. I was asking ways of roleplaying into shifter without being a druid. Are there any other ideas or ways than the "ex-druid background"?

i listed some other ways in my post. All you need to be a Shifter is (besides the stat pre reqs) the ability to innately shift form, either via spell or extraordinary ability. So dopplegangers, Fey sorcerors, wizard,s rangers, etc etc.
