We are not seeing any chaotic-law axis, becouse that doesn't interest me, if you have lots of characters that you play, combine them and think of an average alignment (for example, 2 evils and 1 neutral would shift towards evil, while 1 evil and 1 good is neutral)
and if you happen to make lots of characters and happen to get bored easily, just think of every past character you have made into account.
my vote is evil, becouse I have lots of evil, few neutrals and two good ones

I've tried my hand at various characters until I found one that stuck. But it's always good.
Even my evil characters are more good acting at times. I find it really difficult -not- to be the goody two-shoes.
That's looking at the good-to-evil though. I'm more variable on that lawful-chaotic factoring

That is why this poll is about Good-evil(GE), not Chaotic-lawful(CL). CL is really a minor factor usually to everyone, GE axis factors character behaviour more than CL.

Lets see..
Niya, Neutral.
My drow, evil.
My Druid, evil.
My fey, neutral.
Yeah, evil, although I tend more towards neutrality.

And I'm pretty much a good guy, simply because I suck at playing evil.

My main is lawful good, but I dont think the alignment description fits her that well.
"Lawful Good, "Crusader"
A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. "
While not being one or having completly fallen to the practices of one, she is more like the lawful good of a grey guard than that crusader type style as the alignment description gives above.
"Though he works toward the same goals as other members of his faith, he may find himself ostracized by his fellows. At best, he flirts with corruption, and at worst, embraces it. Paladins may see him as weak, for he has not (in their view) the courage to fight for justice with honor.
The gray guard is not proud of what he does, but rather sees it as a necessity forced upon him by the realities of the world. The freedom is not a boon but a loss, a tarnish of darkness on a once-pure soul. He resolves to do what is necessary, to do battle as valiantly as the greatest paladin, but as brutally as the most vile blackguard."

Yeah, she's totally LG, leaning toward LN. I see Willow in a similar fashion. She's TN but leans NG. It's a battle within. Her very being tells her to be good, but her duty and what she holds dear in her heart makes her and tells her to stay neutral. Her Druidic oaths to Silvanus keep her alive with purpose but they also make her life a living hell in many ways.

I think I have a good character somewhere, maybe even two. Usually I prefer to play neutral characters, though, and Chaotic ones at that. I do have some fun playing evil bastards when it gets me, though.

I tend to find the L/C axis more interesting than the G/E axis. My characters are almost always LN, N, or CN... My only active Amian character is LN.

I have good, Neutral and Evil characters, but I generally prefer LN (since it's closest to me).
That said, I'll choose the alignment I feel best suits the character's personality.

I voted good. Somehow, that side of the good/evil war is always more attractive to me. Maybe it's because the bad guys always seem to lose. Maybe I just prefer being nice and kind. Vesad is CN, but he really needs to be switched to CG...

I play morally ambigious characters that test the boundaries of what they are:
-The Salandran who wishes to solve the "jigsaw puzzle..." but shares little empathy with his wards from decades of horrible experiences.
-The Banite who wishes to perform Bane's will... but shows no care for any social heirarchy.

My three mains just happen to be CN, NG, LE, and I like all of them. All alignment points covered with the least possible number of characters! Yay! (Pare doesn't count. ;)
Anyway, I chose neutral, because I don't think that there is much of a tendency in my vault with G,G,N,E,E.
Oh, and Amia will end in hell! Not enough "good" players according to the poll!

I like the whole Alignment spectrum, but most of my characters seem to be somewhere Evil. Should also note though that my Good or Neutral characters make more friends and have an easier time getting into RP with others. It's much easier being good because we all know how to do it. Being Evil without making your character get executed over and over requires planning and a careful attitude.
About the "Bored Epics in Cordor".. they still exist, but since I've come back to Amia recently things seem to have much improved. People are spread out more.

My character alignment average is somewhere between Neutral and Evil, but I guess Evil attracts me more because it's such an opposite to what I, as a player, am in real life. Through that juxtaposition I try to find interesting traits and create characters from that.

I'd say my overall alignment would be true neutral. I have Ardira on the go right now and I know if I went with her being a primary example then I would indeed be evil but in reguards to all my characters, I have 2 neutral and 1 evil; and with the same characters 2 neutral and 1 lawful. So true neutral is me, hurrah!

I dunno. I have one Lawful Good, another Chaotic Neutral, one Neutral Evil, one True Neutral, and a Chaotic Evil one. I don't really have a preference, I just choose the alignments that fit my character concepts.
What I love the most, however. Are characters with valid yet creative (And perhaps a bit wild) interpretations of the standard alignments.

I would say my character alignment falls into evil, with four characters only one of them Good( yes I just admitted I played good! But who with and what log in you may never know!).
The reason for this is simple, I seek my characters to be challenged to strive against the tide and create an image. I find that when playing my good guy such isn’t really the case, there is no almighty evil force out there to rebel against, there is no true heroic action that can be taken to save lives to be a legend a name that lives on even when the character is long dead.
Granted there are DM events where the good player base can unite and strive to conquer evil, I however believe that this is not the same. More of a putting out the fire before it spreads sort of rp, is rather strive against the horde of flames engulfing the forest watching comrades die giving my character all the more reason to stand up and fight with more dedication than ever before.
To some that will not make sense, ive come to understand Amia’s player base very well and know that players do get enjoyment from just living in a mystical realm and not being hero’s. This is however the reason I log onto Amia with most of my main characters, and as such why I play evil.
On evil I find that the Amia setting is one of mainly good, I find that everyone will band together at the slightest achievements evil makes, beating them back into the darkness to lick there wounds. As much as this at times grates my nerves I find it a challenge worth taking to perhaps one day change the setting and flip the coin.
Not just on Amia however, I tend to support the underdog in most cases in life, be it pvp servers or football matches(hull vs man uinited anyone xD) That’s my position in the poll and reason for it anyway!

Xavi is of course CG, except for a brief flirtation with CN way back when (she's always flirting ). In fact, as time goes on and her faith grows and her adventuring experience fades, she becomes more and more good.
I have a few other characters, most of whom I've not played more than a dozen or at most a score of times. Mariha Feral, my druid, who I played for 8+ months back in 2006, was N leaning toward CG, though she's since gone back to Neutral Bitch with strong Antisocial tendencies.

All my characters are neutral in some way, though they're also rather ambivalent.
It's quite hard to make the distinction between Neutral and Good, IMO, because most people (even Evil) act Good in society. People, unless they are zealous fanatics or anarchists, usually conform to society's norms. They even accept society's values pretty easily: it's not particularly Good to think murder is wrong, that's just normal.
So yeah. Most of my PCs are decent people. They'll help a wounded man, catch a thief and pay their taxes, but they aren't likely to go out of their way to be moral champions of Universal Good. Kalliniel will do heroic deeds for the elves, when he wants to prove a point, when his unreliable sense of duty tells him something should be done, or when he's just feeling self-important. He isn't going to embark on a crusade to defeat an evil baron and free his slaves, unless it's just for the thrill of it, or the threat is immediate. Joon, on the other hand, is very loveable and well-mannered, with good intentions and a sense of empathy, but he lacks moral spine. He'll help a starving widow, but if he had to go face her landlord and tell him to stop sending thugs to bully her, he'd probably decide he can't help. And if he ever were in a fire, I guess he'd sooner save the prescious book on the table rather than the baby next to it, which is somewhat questionable.
So yeah, neutral for me. All my PCs have their good and evil sides (even Kir'nack; well, there's nothing good about Nilbrix, but he's nuts) as well as their chaotic and lawful sides, and therefore I can't pinpoint one alignment that fits them. Depends on the day, and what you think the alignments contain. Usually, I can't decide so I just pick True Neutral or Chaotic Neutral. >_>

I've wondered about this myself, interesting results. I expected more good-aligned.
I voted neutral, as most of my chars are. I have one lawful-good and one chaotic-evil as well.
I play neutrals as it fits my philosophy/worldview, so it's natural to play.
The good and evil chars are my newest, branching out, giving then a try.

Dont forget that Neutral is going to tend to be the default for people with a number of different characters (several goods + several neutrals + several evils = neutral).

That, and what I said above. Most of my surfacers appear to be good people, even heroic, but are still classified as neutral. I imagine it's the same for most. Good is the most demanding alignment: you can have all the virtues, but one flaw might undo that all, whereas an evil person might be compassionate, well-mannered, lawful and friendly and never worry about becoming good or even neutral, if he just happens to not mind murder. (Even the mental approval of it is enough to make you evil, even if you never killed a man.)

I'm going to go by epics, I make too many alts to count those. Quite funny that I was intending on my next PC to be Evil. >.> I guess I have a balanced diet
Good:
Isidore - Quippish, makes people think outside the status quo, anti-Tyranny, funny enough, he stands counterposed to oppressive Tyrans, and will go out of his way to unsettle them, as well as Banites, and anyone trying to bully. He is also very self depricating
Kammy - Blow things up that are -evil-. Evil is real. It has a color, its black, and it should be given the chance to repent if it means it, if not it should be judged! Its her duty to enforce these things, even if it costs her life. She also hates undead. - Obviously Triadic, though she realizes it not.
Mentaki- Free thinker, believes in processes and the way things are done for a reason, but sometimes you have to get outside those boxes when working on theoretical principle. He has no qualms ending evil creature's existences for the furthering of research.
Neutral:
Rras-rarri - High chance to kill if someone violates his moral codes, these things are concrete. He is trying to find a home for himself, but finds extensive and continual difficulty combining himself and human society, inevitably he still sees them as food, or at least creatures that will long die before he does, burning out like flash-paper.
Xyrkha - A merchant, not really need to say more. She's willing to barter in nearly anything for profit, as long as the traceability is nil. Its the 'nearly' that keeps her from being evil. But she's willing to price-gouge and take people for a ride financially if able.
Pier - Soldier, follows orders, gets the job done, keeps the people safe. She's grumpy, and a big girl, and doesn't get along well with people, crude, but she will do her job. I view her as an adult version of a tomboy. She has limited patience, and will not indulge people. She's a lot like Cap'n Yance.
Reah - Necromancer, loner, orphan. She just didn't really care about herself. She was trying to start over on the isle.. but the evils of her life, and things that furthered it on Amia twisted her, she had one goal, and completed it. A life lived, that's that.
Evil:
*******
Ramla - Worships Set, do I really have to say more after what happened in Nes'ek? Probably, but she's not as evil as she seems! I assure you, here, just listen to her story sometime, its cultural differences...

Yeah, but her and her buddy totally murdered each other in Cordor because a mysterious voice that may or may not have been Cyric told you to.
Man that was hilarious.
... Do you sitll have the item you got? >.>

It was! I absolutely loved that playing off of eachother event between the voices. She still clings to that item ferverently as a Holy relic that was so blessed to be purified by Set's spear!
It's my most treasured of any plot/quest/DM rewards I've recieved as a player actually >.>
I do regret her partner quit playing, and would have liked to nab the other half of the ring to have both pieces, just to complete its dichotomy/flavor/lore whatever you wanna call it.

Let's see...
Lawful Good: Daniel Daoskina--something I cannot spell and I usually just copy-and-paste. Chaotic Good: Valkirya Claddath, Helena Rios, May'Une Chaotic Neutral: Rizzen of Twilight Chaotic Evil: Auron Teken'ath, Adr'ael Ken'rahel True Neutral (I think it was, I don't remember): Ar'vain'en Eyther'retin (or something like that)
But I always end up tending them to some sort of LN side.
I cannot, for the life of me, make and keep an evil character. Auron is anything but CE. He is somewhere around NE, LE and LN.
Rizzen tends to CG, but he has things that keep him attached to CN because he kind of does what is necessary sometimes: he can be good, but can be just as evil, though I think his only evil attitude was refuse to resurrect a fellow V because he thought the death was well-deserved. >_>
All my good characters, except by my LG one, always try not to choose sides in a battle and they all can give some sort of support even to evil characters.
So, basically, alignment for me is just the mechanics and sometimes necessary for classes but I always, no matter what I do to try and avoid it, end up flirting with lawfulness and neutrality. =(

Same reason I never tried a Paladin. I don't want to fall within a few days, and I enjoy chaos far too much to stay Lawful, I fear. Still, I keep considering, though.
