I know this is going to catch flack for an idea but what the heck...*throws it out into the pit anyway*

A feast on the island of Caraigh within a week or so. Anyone that is a druid/priest or follower of any of the nature gods would be invited to participate.

This isn't a hunt, a holy day or such..it's actually kind of consecration. The thing is...the idea wouldn't just be for the goody good gods or even the milquetoast ones...this would also include the ones who are a darker shade of dark in the wheel of Balance.

From Silvanus to Talos, Melikki to Umberlee, Sheela to Malar, Eldath to Auril. The whole spectrum as it were.

*tosses out a line for Sven* YO DUDE!! (or dudette), any thoughts for organizing this thing?!

*covers the idea in honey and various things, unlocks the cage and steps back to avoid the loss of a limb* heeheheehee.

As having one of the few followers of Sheela... this maybe a good way to represent each of the gods of balance and nature... I give it a go...

Representatives of the Gods of Fury having a party with the Hippies... I just don't see how this will not end in a battle royale.

Maybe if the whole meeting consisted of "Hey, undead are totally lame, right? I know! Who needs skeletons when we have leaves/snow/lightning/badgers?"

This. It would end in a blood bath, to put frankly.

You have to remember that some of the deities of Fury (Talos & Umberlee) have no issue with undeath at all and a lot of their clergies don't either. There is literally nothing to connect the two groups together. You're pinning enemy against enemy, protectors of nature against destroyers of nature. The only Fury people who -might- pass off are Malarites. Malarites at least have a little more respect for nature than the others. Talonites might fit in too, -might-.

Keep in mind that Silvanus and his children (Mielikki and Eldath. As well as their servants Lurue, Shiallia and Gwaeron Windstrom) are all bitter rivals of the Fury gods (Talos, Umberlee, Malar and Auril). Most of them also hate Talona. Nobanion too sides with Silvanus and his children and is the sworn enemy of Malar. Some may say that that is god drama, and that's true, but a lot of it is also dogma and the churches in almost every case do actively oppose and fight each other in bloody warfare.

I'm not saying don't do it, but do expect a blood bath.

Oh, and sorry I can't really offer any tips on how to pull it off since I really do feel it's nearly impossible. It's like trying to get the Churches of Kelemvor, Jergal and Velsharoon together to talk about death. Bloodbath.

you could try dealing with a feast of the stag, ie bloody and holy hunt and ritual in Malar's name to help feed a town/towns in the coming winter, it is one of the things that makes people like Malarites oddly enough. At least I hope I got the details of the ritual right.

I know for certain my cleric of Chauntea would be inclined to remove the heads of any Talonites or Talosans that he came accross. If it were simply the more good or neutrally aligned nature dieties, I really don't think there were be as much of an issue. Try putting a follower of, let's say, Shialla and a Malarite together and you'd get much the same result: chaos

I would think that that upholding the Balance would need both sides to make a balance. Perhaps some High Magic could disable casting or such, The Gods could gain something from all the clerics/druids and such meeting together.

Perhaps the Gods could work together and cease the powers they grant their followers for a time in a given area. And all weapons could be confiscated oh say by a 3rd party or such that has nothing to gain...?

I know horrible idea, I just always pictured followers of dieties even opposed to each other, could do decent together, in order to preserve a balance.

The thing of it all is this...there -aren't- many druids of the dark gods out there. Really and truly there aren't that many followers seen of late that weren't DM generated. And the few were....kind of poorly played but that's just my 2 cents really.

The thought of all of them together would more than likely make my nature gal twitch out of her gear however much she knows that balance means good and bad in doses.

Two feasts. Feast of light, feast of dark. And Aurilites just have a bad rep namely because I get the feeling that save for a few PC followers...the good that the frosty one does is overshadowed by the whole 'visits bilzzards upon the countryside for sh*ts and giggles'.

I'm pretty sure that there have been highly effective and active followers in the past, even memorable ones. But none of late and we miss our bogeymen in green!!!

yeah, but the feast for the evils and evil leaning neutrals would be.... empty. Like you said, there are very very few. And I have to disagree about Auril. She's very much so evil. Her dogma asks her people to destroy everything with ice, prevent the sun from shining and to kill anyone they want, at will (save for creatures of arctic lands). She's pretty up there in the evil spectrum. Malar and her might arguably be a bit less evil than the other two but are still pretty beastly (no pun intended, Malar ;P) and redoubtably evil.

Besides jergalites are to busy with writing the names of the dead Down.
*sagenods*
Tried it once, I got up to 500 kills of different enemies at level 15 or so. Then I stopped. The pace was simply to fast for me <.<

But I say, let gets this feast on!

It sure would be fun and great, and would give me some time to decently play my malarite too.

Hahaha, Malar would rip the throats out of the "weaklings" and "prey".

Maybe it would work for all the good and neutral nature dieties, but not the evil ones. Fact is, some of the evil ones would turn on each other as much as turn on the others.

If you'd invite the aurilites, make sure there are no lathandern or kosuthian worshippers there, you know why.

The idea in theory is cute, but I certainly know I'd be preparing for PvP beforehand if I went, just to keep my ass safe. :P

The feasts would be nature only and when I say nature only I do mean the current pantheon of nature deities high to lower. Yes I'm pretty sure the sun gods count as nature deities but oddly they feel more like a light bulb generalization of light than specifically for green power.

Then again that's my outlook and everyone is free to have their own which does or does not agree with said outlook. I'm nutty and admit it. Still trying to orient on the where to have this. Nice to see interest, kind of sad to note there is like....one Malarite that popped up out of those posted. >.> Is the whole of Amia really made up of good-neutral green hearts?

Looks like the feast of light would kick off harder than the feast of the dark. Just so folks know...this would happen on B. Yes I have a hardon for that server in the long run.
It's like the cute geek you don't notice until you date them and then find out "Oh wow. They blow everyone else I've dated out the water!"

<.<....what?

yes i'm having a small bit of fun IDing posting colors. So far I've found : lightgreen, Gold, Lime, Hotpink, Lavender, pink, Darkgreen and I'm still looking for more!

I got an Eldathite too, she is mostly retired though.

The Malarite is my newest experiment, if I can play malar evil. :P

But yeah, we need more evil hippies.
