In the spirit of good humor and to hopefully find that IT IS NOT impossible for a WACKY situation to arise in Amia(because just the thought makes me glum), I challenge any DM to create what you think would be a plausible yet wacky scenario, using the character below.
The character is an evil drow jester who must somehow entertain drow.
The scenario can be anyhow you like, but a few things must happen in this scenario:
1) It must be big
2) It must be funny
3) It must be something a DM COULD help set up for a player. Nothing outside the realm of normal requests.
4) It must create victims or otherwise be at someone elses expense, because drow comedy always NEEDS a victim.
Now assume that you have the full support of the first house in this endeavor.
I once came up with "Poop Golems". People say it was a stupid idea. If you think you can do better post up or shut up.
That means if the post in question is a comment or anything other then your take on a wacky scenario, it's not wanted.
Also note that NONE of these ideas will be plagarized, because I perma'd my drow clown anyways(I couldn't tidy up the amount of RP that preceeded a reasonless denial).

If no-one can think of anything, does that prove the poop golem was a good idea, or that the entire drow jester concept was a bad one?

I'd wager the latter.
Just because your character concept does not mesh with the setting at all, does not mean that we must permit things beyond what we usually would in regards to 'standards for plot seriousness' just to allow that concept (which clearly cannot stand on its own two feet as it requires these events to succeed) to thrive.
This'd be akin to me asking someone to work out a plot for my Elven Desert Warrior on how he can brutally victimize a horde of children as a means of ' training ' them in the cultural manner that he was raised. The DMs would never allow it, because it doesn't reach standards the Team tries to set, despite the fact it would be entirely IC for said character to do so. Except the standard broken in that one is more of a moral standard than a seriousness standard, but it's still a standard none the less.

I could actually think of a thing or two, but I really don't want to post ideas here that might be used in game later for everyone's shock and joyous surprise, you know?
Tranny's got a morbid bard in Ultrinnan, and he's managing without poop, I think... Oh, and we did have that bard who set himself on fire...

Jhae rocked!
Anyways, that aside ... a linthar played well is usually appreciated - in fact, there is some RP going on in Ultri with them (not sure how open it is so I'll say no more).
As far as I know, the first house will likely find it 'humorous' to insult the Il'haressen, knowing full well that if all the others band together against Baenre they will still win.

No bait there, although I realise it sounded like it - it i against the law of Lloth for any two houses to ally against a third in open warfare (house Baenre excepted) - chances are all the piesteses / Il'haressen would have their power yanked.
Edit: Apologies for the indelicate wording in the previous post

You'd often be amazed how easily wackiness becomes plausible and even epic. Off the the top of my head, some examples...
-An utterly insane group consisting of a Third-person speaking nut, a hypnotic secretary, a Scottish warrior and a shape shifting little girl plan to destroy all worlds.
-A fly from the future travels back in time to warn a kid with psychic powers about the coming devastation he must avert with the help of three others, one of whom is named after faeces.
-A mystery and a murder must be solved in an isolated village full of puzzle lovers who are content to give you brain-teasers at the worst possible times must be solved.
And yet, if you've played these games, you wouldn't find any of this at all weird. Amia does this brilliantly, as the whole basis of so many plots and characters are utterly ridiculous and laughable, yet we mix them all together into an awesomely epic world.
My point is, this isn't a challenge. The DMs and players do it every day. You're better off asking for suggestions for macabre humour. For example...
Roll up, roll up, as I dunk this poor, pitiful human slave into a vat of acid, only to have him come out as.... *Dramatic pause, dramatic gasp* A pile of bones!
Yes, I'm bad at black humour. Point is, utterly bizarre characters work on Amia. Just pick a concept, go with it. Two examples that spring to mind for this sort of thing are this(The Personality section in particular) and this.

Exactly that was disputed in the other thread. And Geld wasn't very lucky with this approach either.
That raises a question: Maybe the way people play DnD (or the fact that they never played it) really divides the player base? Some feel treated badly after putting in a lot of effort, others simply look at what they tried to do and say "That's 100% incompatible with the FR setting, and even 95% incompatible with Amia, why are you complaing?"
Regards

I think you can better state that utterly bizarre characters don't work, not even on Amia. I don't think you can blame a DM for disallowing poop golems: it's not just utterly bizarre, but also quite tasteless.

I had hoped to phrase my question more general, so we could move on from the bad example of poop golems. (Other RP, e.g. torture under the old rules, could also be seen as "tasteless", by the way.) Anyway: Dev Disco wrote: I think you can better state that utterly bizarre characters don't work, not even on Amia. So you pretty much fall into that category, I think: Ts_ wrote: others simply look at what they tried to do and say "That's 100% incompatible with the FR setting, and even 95% incompatible with Amia, why are you complaing?"
But some believe "Any character concept should be possible if I try hard enough." They might be a minority, but I wonder if this opinion is more wide-spread under those that only know NWN and not DnD (like me).

That makes it rather simple, actually. If it isn't possible you apparently didn't try hard enough. Many people forget that when you want something that somebody else has, you need to convince that person to give it to you. It's not his fault of you can't convince him, it's yours.

i dont think something should have to be ooc funny to pass off as -good rp-. IMO, it degrades what RP is already out there.

Mind that, previously, I mean utterly bizarre characters as in an elf completely terrified of water to the point he refuses to cross any of Cordor's bridges. Not a rainbow coloured half-orc who dresses up in nothing but bikinis as he prances around Bendir Dale singing about how pretty he is. There's obviously a line with these sorts of things, you should be able to judge for yourself where this line is. It's roughly around the '9-year-old-with-ninth-level-wizardry' mark. I probably should have defined that better, in hindsight.

Just make sure you fling left arms only when they need a right and vice versa.
Or would it be better to fling exactly what they needed? The golem would be flinging them fatally hard, after all.
