I've recently reinstalled Vista64, and also put in my NWN again. For some reason windowed mode and alt-tab both do not work for it, it results in a crash. Can anyone assist? I'll be happy to provide pertinent information. |

You need to add that little string of stuff in the ini file, remember. [Display Options] AllowWindowedMode=1 |

I don't think that's the issue, my Vista x64 also crashes NWN when alt-tabbing. Windowed mode works fine though. nVidia card? |

i used to have this on XP with an ATI card (my laptop) Just windowing the sucker and then switch to different progs always worked though, was only going from Fullscreen to other with Alt-tab that locked my PC up. |

I get random crashes too with alt-tabbing on XP. |

In Vista when I alt tab in windowed mode my character runs to the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, regardless of where my mouse is |

Speaking of crashes, and hijacking the topic a bit... any idea why my NWN crashes 9 out of 10 times when I try to open it? The second I click on anything I get thrown back to windows and get an error message. Pretty darn annoying |

True. But then again I couldn't be arsed to translate the whole error message. Either way I've had a revelation and disabled the intro movies (which I should've done from the start...stupid reinstall), works flawlessly now. |

I have disabled movies a long time ago, as well as enabled windowed mode and disabled full screen. It dosen't matter what I switch to or when. The moment I use Alt Enter or Alt Tab, everything goes to hell. |

Pretty darn annoying If you open NWN, then click somewhere else while it's loading still you basically do the same thing as alt-tabbing. You should only click when the cursor has changed to the nwn-cursor and the movies have started (if you didn't disable them). If it's different thing, then no idea, but this happens to me often as well. You can alt-enter before you can click, which will bring nwn into window-mode (if enabled) and then you can click around all you want. (talking only from XP experience) |
