When I checked the PvP rules and diferent setting of the PvP tool, I came across this:
3. Arena mode is determined by the area settings and overrules any other mode.

But... where do I find an arena? is there a sign or such somewhere? How do I know that I'm in a setting which is "Arena"?

Cordor Arena, found in Cordor West.

At least, that would be my guess.

I think for a time Kampo's was an arena as well.
I'm not sure if a DM toggled it on/off.

I believe most cities or faction areas have their own arenas, gladiatorial pits, sparring grounds, whatever you want to call it. Looking around/Asking around IC would be my advice. You're an adventurer after all... make finding an arena your epic quest! :)

The Cordor arena is the most popular though i've seen others in some temples and cities. As before, ask around IC... its a good way to get to know the area too.

I really don't think is counts as an "Ask ICly" thing... the question isn't "where can my character find an arena?"

He wants to know which areas count for 'arena mode' for pvp, and how one can tell if an area is counted.

You can't go "Hey buddy, if we fight here and I die does it not count cause this is an arena?"

I know of only cordor's arena where the arena mode is set.

As to how to know you're in one, you could go to the arena in cordor and look at your logs and see if it says something different.

No no no, he asked for the arena, not one of the nine levels of hell.

Wiltun has one in the north western area of the map to. Just outside the gate. Though for some reason it doesn't go by the same rules as Cordor, such as respawning instantly, rather then after 5 minutes...

Crouching Lemur Monastery. Or... so I recall remembering a discussion about.

Cordor Arena: Server A
Crouching Lemur Meeting Place: Server A
Mageduel Arena: Server B

The dwarven training room, Kampo's chickpit and Wiltun's sparring circle aren't Arenas in terms of the PvP modes, even though they are ICly the same thing.
