You can make 5-10 new EU DMs, but that does not mean you will get any event on the EU afternoons or evenings. You will not get any.

Unfortunately, for there to be new DMs in any timezone there has to be people judged worthy by the DM team - it's not worth having different standards for different timezones. So if you're in the Euro timezone, just be glad you actually have more than a score of players spread across both servers at once.

Gee, that's not like that's an insult to the DM team or anything, with absolutely noting constructive behind it. With an attitude like that I just really want to jump in and run events for you.

Heh, we both know that I hardly make insults on the DM team, actually I never did. It was not an insult, but a fact, because there is no point to make events during those times. Why? 1: What Yurell said: There is not enough player on and most of them are hunting somewhere and not rping. 2: Factions: Most factions have mixed playerbase, so if they want to schedule an events, then the time will be a very early(It is very late for the US folks, at least the EST or CST folks) or a very late GMT time. Same goes if there are more then one faction involved in a certain event.

The EO is mostly online at those times, and thus we are left out of many interesting RP opportunities.

Can't help that, sad as it. Euro DMs will be more active again at some point and we will just need to wait.

But if we've got some 80 people online, both servers included, and no DM, it's rather sad. These days I have loads of things I'd like to have done, but I never see a DM online these days unless I start taking the time away from my sleep or school hours.

props to...tormak I think, last night for coming on before 3am gmt and handing down some interesting RP and combat =D I need to learn the dm's by their ingame logs >_>
the count event, which is tommorow, which i'm not yet involved in but its not out of the question, would be 3am for me, not too much of a problem but it is like...a bit late for the people who actually have sleep patterns.

Hmm, perhaps those are hunting because they havent seen anything going 'on' at that time... self perpetuating situation... Personally I do a bit of both, because i love playing.. If i knew that some events were possible in that time of course i'd rather RP events untill my fingers bled.. My original post has been answered, intitially it was a question asking if anything goes on during those GMT times, and if so.. have i just been too blind to see it..

RP doesn't end when hunting begins, and if you miss the bright yellow shouts announcing things occuring your probably on the wrong server at the time and shouldn't be going to the place anyway ?

I think the most annoying thing isn't a lack of DM events for those in DM-less timezones - every DM I've talked to is rather obliging, and usually there's one willing to do events. It's the smaller-scale plots, like wanting to ICly research something for a request, and the lack of DC's ... I think almost all of mine came from when I used to play in US peak (back when I used to play regularly too, though).
Unfortunately though, that's life until there are new candidates to become DMs.

Anyhow not to derail the topic too much, timezones are timezones you can't really move people around the globe to match playing times. Mostly the American dm cover some of the euro evening as well due their afternoon or something. No...more....Bricks...?
