I wouldn't really think Destruction or Strength be Domains of Asmodeus as much as something like Rune, Knowledge, or possibly Trickery for that matter. Just curious as there is a HUGE difference between the two.

All i know is that Spell gives + saves vs spells, and death gives + bonus to undead summons.

I have a question on the Death and Repose domain summons. I've read all I could find that seems appropriate, but I am still confused. Death domain summons some sort of undead, right? Repose domain summons a Deathless, correct? Selmak wrote: Don't worry. The actual domain summons are unchanged, but are now split between Death and Repose domains. If you take the new Repose domain (if your deity allows it) you will always summon non-undead. If you retain the Death domain (if your deity allows it) you will always summon undead. Now this throws me for a lil loop. I get that Repose summons non-undead (Deathless?) and Death summons undead (what one?). But does it matter what your alignment is? As in does an Evil cleric with Repose always summon a Deathless, and does a Good cleric with Death always summon an undead? Thanks in advance.

Jergal actually has Death and Repose. But he's the only one! That said, Death domain for a Good person is silly anyways when Repose is an option lol
And thanks for the answer.

Jergal doesn't mind the use of Undead so long as it is only temporary and is used to enforce his Dogma, though. So long as you don't create undead, and are just controlling them, then it's fine, i think. May want some clarification, but thats how i've always interpreted Jergal.

Another notable exception is the Order of the Golden Lion, a specific sect of Torm's holy champions. From what I recall, they are able to rebuke undead to perform a specific task like guarding something. Also, it is assumed these undead will be destroyed as soon as the task is complete. However, I'm not sure what's the case when the undead are given a task like "guard this holy tomb from all intruders." An indefinite task like that might require the things rebuked to turn into Crypt Guardians or something.
Besides the Osirans, it's also said that Helmite temples resurrect their dead in times of dire need. Like if there was a sudden attack on small village and they were so outnumbered that there's no other way to properly defend it. And of course, these undead will be returned to rest after the threat is met.

It would be easier to copy/paste it to notepad and save it to your desktop instead of bumping that long-ass thing all the time.
Or, like Sune said.

So point the poor new player to the Deity System page, which is more up to date and better on explanation! Anyway, I'm also allowed to lock old topics, which I'm going to do here since I'm a tyrant.
