You can remove all the enchantments on water-breathing gear, and it will still work. It's tied to he actual item, not the enchantments it has.

What are the, um, "roleplay mechanics" behind spell focus, if any?
Like what does spell focus translate into for roleplay? Like a resistance only "I worked really hard specifically making sure no one can resist this spell school" or a broader"I am very familiar with this school and stronger in it"?

"As a sorcerer developing my powers through practice and experimentation, I've found myself relying more on spells within the school of Illusion than on others and I seem to have a natural talent for them which I'm looking to develop further."
Etc. A spell focus means that your character is more proficient with spells of that school, and you can decide how that's explained.

I love this answer- just one more thing- can the same be said for a divine caster? Do they really 'study' a school since they're asking their god to deliver the magic so to speak?

Yes, but not necessarily. There is plenty of room for interpretation there. Nothing says divine spells can't be just as complex and methodical for some clerics/faiths, they just happen to get them filtered through their god rather than pulling on the pattern in the Weave directly. Or you could say, if you're more into affective prayer, that you've cultivated the kind of religious feelings, fervour and imagery related to the spell school in question, above others.

Cordor has it's own mint (or used to, rather. Not sure where it is now that Central Cordor is destroyed) and they are either minted with the Cordorian coat of arms or the face of Duke Montgommery, hence the common name 'Monties' around Cordor.

There was something about this on the lore thread awhile back but I'm not in a postion to dig it out at the moment. However, I would hazard a guess that the gold coins in circulation are a mixture of Cordor minted ones and coins from various cities on the sword coast and beyond, seeing that Cordor was a hub of regional commerce at one point.
I also don't imagine that every piece of currancy carried by a PC is necessarly a gold coin, because no one could carry around millions of gold pieces without a cart of chests in tow everywhere. I'm sure its a mixure of precious metal tradebars of various locals or gemstones as well. Or just the gold piece some total of the treasures they find during adventures.

Monks are all about dat spell resistance. But is it something they can turn off or could it possibly impede a spell affecting them even if they wanted to? Obviously non hostile buffs work but for roleplay could a monk "accept" say a level drain spell affecting him and "turn off" his SR and be drained?
On the contrary could I roleplay because of my spell resistance , and ,another obstacle either psychological or unconscious I could not even accept a healing spell (unlesss it beat my SR) ?
I ask because I think that kind of backfiring would create some interesting conflict. "Oh shit he's under a spell we cant even cast clarity on him because of his damn SR ruunnnn"
I guess it begs another question can any class willingly allow harm to come from a spell even if their fortitude or will is godly? Obvioisly engine wont allow it but would a DM?
If this is too big for general questions lol let me know.

Can a DM see what a post looked like before it was edited? Because I accidentally overwrote an IC entry in the diary of my character. If it could be returned somehow, that would be great.

When spells are cast, they "change" something about the natural workings of the world using the spellcaster's abilities, energies involved, and the "infrastructure" set up ala how the Weave works in relation to the prime material and other such places. Monks, being Monks, are so grounded in their own reality and understanding that they can actively "Deny" those changes to the fabric of their reality. They likely can't resist the explosion of an entire fireball as it affects others around them, but their sense of self and will may protect them from some rogue Sorcerer modifying reality to his own will. However, on the other side, have you noticed that Conjuration spells don't allow for spell resistance checks? That's because while a Wizard weaves a fire-death-ball of out thin air as a temporary re-arrangement of mystical realmstuff, that same wizard could also summon a Boulder through a Plot Hole and chuck it at the Monk's face. His strength of Will (equating to levels of Monk taken) may deny the Wizard's changes to the fabric of his reality, but disbelieving the boulder that has always existed is a bit more difficult. Pray he's got good reflex saves. Based on that, a monk could theoretically choose to take the fireball to the face for whatever reason.

Yes. Well, Large Weapons.Quote: -Armor, gloves, and small-medium weaponry may have a maximum of 4 benign (positive) powers. Large weaponry may have a maximum of 5 beign powers. -Equippable items may have a maximum of 3 benign powers. -Ammo may have a maximum of 2 benign powers.

But there's a clause that states that all Spell Resistance can be voluntarily lowered as an action, allowing such spells to work. Even that which is possessed by monsters. Which, personally, I think is a bit weird, but SR is weak enough as it is, may as well not make it an outright liability. NWN though doesn't include any of that weirdness of SR, and just assumes benign spells will work. Make of that what you will.

Can druids/shifters use and apply for the flight feat/widget for forms that would allow flight? Mainly asking for Dragon shape cause terrain can get pretty damn annoying.

Shifters can use flight-abled forms to fly. Flight, however, is not done by a widget but by a feat.
Never seen a request for the feat for such a purpose.

In the few cases that I've heard of, the stance of the Team is that only naturally winged characters may have access to the flight feat. However, the ability to fly in certain shapes, with proper training, is generally allowed during events. And I say generally because each DM always reserves the right of stuff.

5/- will soak 5 points of physical damage, regardless enchantment. 5/5 means that it will soak 5 points of physical damage, if the weapon damaging is enhancement +4 or below. In other words, you need a weapon +5 to surpass a /5 protection.

And the feat/class based DR don't stack with +5/5, but they do stack with 5/- Pierce/Slash/Blunt.

Is it possible to make a widget that can store various items as well as spawn them? Sort of like the item trader's chest used by the job system.

Pretty sure something like this requires a specific request for a PLC spawner, specifically. I mean, I imagine storing a specific placeable to an object by using the object on it (assuming it's a selectable placeable) is /possible/. But I really don't think it would be something the staff would really do, as individual PLC spawners are a request thing.

Question on Animal Companions and Familiars:
If you look at the character sheet of an animal companion or familiar, are the numbers you see for things like AC, AB and saves the -actual- numbers or are the Amia modifications added to that?

Character sheets often lie, it's best to see the combat log for actual rolls/values in most cases.

There's to many factors. Some are effected differently. You should look at your log. I remember when testing these some critters had 5-10 difference than what was reported either up or down depending on the critter itself. There was no discernible rule.

Char sheet should be correct, but the combat log never lies

Is it intended that the Potions of Ghostly Visage cast as extended? I tought I was at 9 minutes buff expenditure, but my extended CL10 1 Turn/Level buffs wore out the minute after.

Ghostly Visage (brewed) pots should last 15 minutes ( http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Brew_potion). Last I checked IG they only lasted 15 min, could you try drinking one and setting a timer to see when the effect wears off?

Well, I was referring to the Ghostly Visage (9) potions you can purchase from Hil'rash
I cast my extended turn/level spells and my hour/level spells as a CL 10 caster, and just a few rounds after the potion wore off, my 20 minutes of buffs went away too.

There was previously an issue where if you cast a metamagic spell with extend, then using scrolls or potions immediately after would be done with it as well.
