What's the hak order I should use in the toolset to check out the Amia goodies that might be available for skin changers, item appearances, etc.?

Actually, amia_v3c_top.hak is no longer needed. The d version is it's updated one.

A quick question... How is it with Weaponsmith job? Is it possible to switch stats from one sword to another? (I mean, I have crafted excellent mithral sword and I want to give it a properties from other sword. (For example +2 Ench, +1d6 sonic, keen) and so on... How is it possible to be done, please?

I know that it is possible with armor, and I am pretty sure weapons also. There is a process by which you put both items in the anvil and "copy the properties" or "copy the appearance" onto the other. I believe the dialog tells you how to do it, and IIRC it matters which item you put in first. I've never had a char that did this, I've only seen it done. Also note, Mithral (weight decrease correct?) counts as a property for the MCS.

It counts as a might on weapon? That means instead of 4 it is 3???

How many wing-models are there for Avariels? I tried looking in Kamina's module on an NPC I made but I could only see all the dragon ones, "Angel" and "Bird". I could have sworn I saw Nessira use something that wasn't listed! Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure bird wings for Avariel are from standard NwN. Check the toolset on a non-hak module

There is a wing-model that allows you to select colours based on hair and tattoo colouring, giving you three seperate sections of feathers to colour. Those are probably the ones you're thinking of. There are also 'Raven' wings, which are black, and I believe we have an 'Erinyes' wing or something, which is blood-red.

Oh, thanks Richard and Mana!
I'm interested in the three-coloured pair of wings! Does that mean that with the tattoo artist it's possible to change the wing colour for at least two of those colours? I assume that hair can't be changed there?

As a general rule of thumb, and with a few small exceptions, class specific gear should be in class specific stores or given as part of a DM event. Highly classic specific gear within the lootbins becomes sell fodder, and all those beefy stats that are good for one small portion of the playerbase become a major gold yield for every other member of the playerbase, effectively becoming garbage that contributes to gold piling up and not going anywhere.

Eh.. just most nice stuff is so pointed toward specific classes in a lot of epic shops though. like the druid/palidon/etc items that give spells or stats that only work on them. never seen a single shifter only item before. just saying xD
Anyway i'll leave ya alone!

No problem, kalcibone. We'll be looking at merchants, too, as we get a little further along with lootbins. They go hand in hand.

Another related question-
Are all the epic weapons going to be removed from the epic loot bin? I assume this because of the overhaul of the mythal crafting system.

Not sure about that yet. If they are, they are likely to be replaced with something a bit different, but weapons nonetheless.

There are boots that give 10 damage reduction, but I think it's only for one kind of damage, and it has some penalties on it. If you're talking about saves, I don't think there is a ring that gives more than +3 to all saves. For elemental damage, there are rings of 100% immunity to one type of elemental damage, and a ring of power has 15 fire, acid, and electricity if I'm not mistaken.

I'm aware of both of those; both my melee characters want a Cloak of Fortification +5 eventually. But Cassandra will probably end up with a Scarab of Living as her epic amulet... Not sure what Samush will shoot for. My wizard will probably end with a Scarab of Protection +6 for her amulet, but I'm thinking about epic rings right now.

Is there a place for a Druid to get Druid-only gear without having to find a way to get into the Amia Forest grove? Or is it all just locked away in there out of the hands of evil Druids?

1. Would +4 bolts gain the additional damage from a crossbow that adds +1d6 electricity to bolts fired?
2. What's the ratio or percent chance that Spell Resistance: 32 would nullify the average L30 caster's spells? I know this doesn't have one solid answer, but I'd like to know if SR 32 is worth much against a maxed caster.

I know this doesn't have one solid answer, but I'd like to know if SR 32 is worth much against a maxed caster. 1. Yes, it gains both enchantments I do believe. I had a +2 bow for a while, and shot negative energy arrows, and they had the +2 enchantment as well as 1d6 neg energy damage. I'm 99% sure on this however, not 100%, as it is hard to pinpoint whether or not a weapon is having an enchantment bonus applied to damage, since enchantment bonuses are so small compared to average weapon damage. Someone else should do further testing. 2. If the caster is CL 30, they would literally have to roll a 1, no matter what spell penetration feats they have, to not pass 32 SR. Rolling a 2 means they roll a 32 (or higher, if they have spell penetration feats) and pass. So, you have a 5% chance of blocking their spell, and yes, that is the one solid answer

yep against lvl 30 caster characters it matters not if you have 1 SR or 32 SR it is how ever use full against lower lvls, multiclass build pc's (for example:15 caster, 15 something else) and a lot of npc's/monsters

Just did this. (Click image to enlarge) The color lines show the decreasing Spell Penetration of various casters (CL5, CL10, CL15, CL20, CL25 and CL30), versus increasing SR (left to right). This assumes caster doesn't have any spell penetration feat. To illustrate, I also highlighted the defense granted by the Emerald of Absorption item (SR27) vs a CL15 caster. (CL15 caster beats SR27 only 45% of the time) Linlan

The only launchers that sort of add damage are the ones that create their own ammo (so it fires an arrow that inflicts 1d6 electric). The engine handles this by actually creating an item in your arrow slot, replacing whatever arrow was there. The launcher applies AB, the arrow applies damage. This is why a +2 bow using +2 arrows doesn't get a +4 (though the AA stuff stacks I think, even if it shouldn't).

So, just a quiche question.
Just run through the Guldorhand (probably spelt totally wrong) Gnome Golem quest ... aaaand I can't seem to see the plan that he talks about. Got some other thing that says it's a quest item. So, is this quest a bit broken? Noticed the town itself has changed from what it was ages ago.

Burning eyes widget question.
Is it mandatory that the widget matches the race? Doing some testing I've realized that elven burning eyes fit way better on Lucius than human burning eyes.

It's not mandatory. The DM will have to set it up with an elf model, though.
