I only got them working by accident and never found a certain logic to them. If there is one, this might be a good thing to add to the tricks of pretty rp topic.

Even when I've tried this they get stuck on different appearances. What should I do? 1. HAK model #1 > color change > HAK model #2 2. My suggestion is that you go into the toolset, create the item you want and fiddle with the appearance options until you get something you like, then submit a request on the forum. Changing the appearance of already existing items is pretty cheap on DCs, I think.

Well, I'm not one to speak of the rate of dev work and DC cost of said work. I think the crafting menu possibly needs updating. But I know of one player some time ago incurring a 1 DC cost for making their job system armour actually craftable.

Dunno if anyone can help here, but it's worth a shot. I have a character builder module. I think it's this one: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=mo ... il&id=4215I edited the hak's, put the Amia haks on it. I put them in the correct order, and included the tlk file (amia_tlk_v3c? I have three apparently). All is well, the Amian classes come up with the proper requirements and all. There is one small oddity... There is a helper thing set up to edit gear. The Amian Haks alter what is available some it seems. The one that seems to come up the most, is that there is no way to extra add damage (like 1d8 elemental). It simply isn't an option, though there are some 'bad streff' points (which were there before I added the haks). Since it's a hak issue, entirely on my end, I dunno if anyone can figure it out. But has anyone else encountered anything similar?

Just a little something I'm curious about that doesn't warrant it's own topic..
Is there still the unofficial Amia style rule that goes along the lines of you don't have to RP the Druid aspect of being a shifter if you only take the bare essential levels/requirements for it? Or did I just dream that and you do have to be a bit beardy weirdy Druid to be a shifter.

You can chose to ignore the first 5 levels of your Druid class if you want. But due to NwN's limitation you will need to take 5 levels of another base class before progressing as an epic shifter.

Thought that was what I remembered. It's the kind of deal though were if you so ignore the levels then you don't use the Druid spells or companion, right? As in... Since you're ignoring it you can't use it. Right?

Yeps.
You're not a druid in that case so you don't have druidical spells or an animal companion.

Nice. Ta very much very the info, you lovely folks.
One final question... Is there a .. I wanna say Ruby Golem? Yeah, is there a skin for one of them in the Amia hak based toolbase thingy?
Thinking of making a Svirfneblin shifter with the ultimate goal of a Ruby Golem shape resin from the Construct shape feat. Or whichever is the major gem for them/Garl Glittergold

DM question: Quote: It is completely meta. The hostiling system is completely OOC and I have been in the habit of hostiling known enemies immediately on login to avoid metagaming in the past.
There is nothing IC about the PvP tool or the dislike button. Is this correct? I swear I have seen DMs in the past state that hostiling someone is IC because you are actually taking a hostile stance towards them. Yes, the tool is OOC but you don't hostile someone unless you are intending to engage in hostile actions with them. So yeah, is it fair game to consider being hostiled an IC action?

I know that we do not make custom summons but how about this:
Would it be possible to have a PC summon a 'lesser' outsider via Gate? Like, for example, could I request a 27+ cleric to be able to summon the Ultraloth instead of the Yagnoloth? I have a char that I think the Ultraloth suits better. I don't mean just a reskin, I mean actually summoning the Ultraloth.
Or would that maybe have to be a custom spell?

As far as I recall, no, the hostiling system does not indicate a hostile stance. Its not meant to be the initiation of combat, its meant to be present before combat begins, for ease of flow and for fairness.
You should still emote taking a hostile stance.

A long time ago, Rashad went about gathering up quests by talking to every NPC he stumbled on. But, I didn't really bother doing any of them at the time. Today I started to clear them out for the fun of it and stumbled on one called "The Collector."
Finding the thing the guy wanted was easy enough. The problem is, finding the guy. The only clues given are "fat guy" in "Khalem."
I have no idea where this is/was or if this guy even exists anymore. Possible he never got transplanted after Khem's big ruckus or something?

I thought that, but ran around Ne'sek talking to everyone... there is no "fat" guy, nor did anyone respond at all.

He could possibly have been killed then, Sorry. There are some remnants of quests still missing form that region; The 'overhaul' was made in much haste. I'd recommend speaking to Glim about the matter. Oh; And you won't find the flower for the pretty girl either. It was originally in the Khalem Oasis, which now has dried up and is filled with asabi.

I did the Khem quests with Silwe recently... but I already forgot where I got the flower. -_- I just remember it was a fairly logical location to put it where I found it.

This is probably a Q for the designers, but the question is:
Skinchanges for arcane spell castings such as Polymorph Self and Shapechange, without affecting any of the creature mechanics, is this viable? I mean, is this already a thing? If not already a thing, how possible is it to modify the skins on these two spells?

You get a skinchanger widget and it is RPed as a Shapechange change. You can (but not sure if you may) use all the abilities as if you were not polymorphed. So the spells itself are not modified. You just get a widget.

That's the link for it. Just open it in the toolset, and apply the Amia haks (make sue the top hak is on top). Bingo, character builder module with Amia specific haks. Of course keep in mind also that Amia has quite a few scripts that will not be a part of this, like for non-standard races and abilities. The Amia classes are selectable, and the requirements work, but the actual abilities do not. I'm curious to see if you run into the same issue with bonus damage I have. The workaround seems to just be to build the weapons for a build I'm trying out in the toolset and saving them to it beforehand.

So, from reading on the site it says that to make a none-Red Dragon Disciple you have to be close to the alignment of the dragon base you're going from, and need DM permission over it all and all that.
So, my follow up question is that if you were to make a Bard/Dragon Disciple going for a Green Dragon base... what's the basis for that? Since, I understand, Green Dragon's are Lawful Evil, but a bard can't choose that alignment (for whatever reason). Is it allowed? I can't see why, but thought I'd clarify first.

In that case "close" means one-step. A green dragon disciple with bard levels has to be NE.

Does anyone use a "free camera" override or hak, the kind that lets you zoom in to near first-person or zoom out to near bird's-eye? Or has anyone used one successfully? The last one I tried (I forget what it was called, unfortunately) I couldn't get to work.

Can a knowledgeable Underdark player help me out with something? I am curious about where Nec'Perya and L'Obsul are roughly if you are looking at a surface map of the area, rather than an Underdark map.

If what I have heard/read is correct, the mainland UD areas are cloistered under the NE of the Faerun map, somewhere under the Spine of the World. Which would make sense considering there's transitions to Frozenfar areas. Of course, there's a portal to Brogendenstein as well, so it's possible that the orc territory in the UD is around Brogendenstein's general location as well, though that's not necessarily true. But yes, NE of Faerun is the general area I've seen mentioned.

L'Obsul is definetely located somewhere around the Spine of the World. Disco correctly placed it there (hence making and adding Frozenfar), as the underdark primarily exists underneath the faerunian mainland. There is no 'underdark' underneath Amia, just some deep caverns that are like it in some ways.

I thought Udos Dro'xun and Underport were in the Underdark, though? Or more specifically the Upperdark.
But, then, technically the first few miles under the surface is the Upperdark, anyways, heh.

So nobody can point a finger on the map and say, "Here", but we do know it is in the region of under the Spine of the World, yes? That's the very least I needed to confirm.

It is a bit like calling Amia Forest the Forest of Wyrms, just because it has quite a few things in common (primarily, trees). As I understand it, the real underdark is the expansive and incredibly deep cavern system under mainland Faerun.

You can TRAVEL from L'obsul to Endir's point without means of portals. And since Endir's is on the very western tip of the spine of the world, So should l'obsul be. I think it is quite close to Icewind dale.

What would you say are the most active/populated groups or "guilds" on amia right now?

I hear the Chromatic Dragon scene's gonna get big soon so I'd roll one of those. >:DBut on a less selfish note, from my experience the Dale's fairly populated right now, as is Tarkuul to a reasonable extent, there's also Hownesswhich I don't know much about but it getting more active. If you're more into non-stationary goody goody stuff then see here. That's just what I've personally seen mind.

LIGHT GEMS
I was curious, how many different colors are there? I have only come across yellow, orange and green.
