Im 90% sure YES. Because its a feat instead of a spell, it should stack.

Query (and it does relate to builds kind of) - I've heard the BGs bull strength stacks with potions. Is this true with their casting of eagles and also the assassin's cats and fox's feat castings?

I can confirm that only the default one, bull's strength, stacks. Eagle's doesn't. The bonuses from abyssal might stacks, however, if that helps to narrow down the issue.

Jus curious what skills and feats will this build allow me? Am I to be a powerful STR monk :O? Or a lightning fast speed dragon o.O?

I ask because I have no idea; for example.. I thought you got wings at RDD 10

I honestly couldn't tell you, RDD characters automatically make me feel like logging in and slapping the piss out of anyone with wings.

I'd honestly like to just make a PC with wings, but not be crippled by the class(Even though there are some nice RDD builds). Alas, I -had- enough DC's.. but.. things happened >_>

The monk seems nice. I'd love to hear any other suggestion, though.

If anyone has any, that is.

20 bard, 10 rdd.

The monk build is sexy. Lets you fight unarmed with your claws. Oh and yes, the STR monk is crazy damage. Unarmed monks normally hit around 40 damage + a hit if STR, they have lower ab then a fighter, but way more saves, ac, speed and feats.

Since I don't think its necessary to start a new thread, would it be possible to make fox's and cat's stack with potions? Assassins do need all the help they can get! :D

Then that would be the on I would like to use. If I am going to make an RDD I'd at least let him be able to use his body as a weapon, since y'know, he's part dragon o.o

I have no idea when it comes to this build ,though. Any further help will be appreciated ^^.

Build it, send it in, we correct it. We give you level/class ideas first and you go from there. 25/4/1 is better mind you.

20 monk, 9 RDD, 1 Sorc (if you want wings)

10 RDD is wasted. You'll also net dev crit fists and all the monk immunities. Roflcopter.

I've been trying to make something with double axes. Yes, double axes. Deciding on how to do it has been tough...a barbarian with them seems appropriate, and then there's the "I picked up RDD so I could stand a chance of Bigby's Winning Hand not knocking me over" option. WM is always an option of course.

I'm just not sure how to tackle this within reasonability. I've already tried a few builds, but they've all seemed somewhat off, so I'm tossing myself on the mercy of the builders to help with a fresh base design.

PS - How does the CL for Palemaster summons work? I'm assuming it's counting wizard or whatever levels as well, seeing as you can only get 20 levels in the class and it's demanding a CL of 30+.

This depends largely on what your goals are. Without a shield you'll need some buddies for PvM, but since you mentioned bigby's , I assume you're also thinking of some pvp.

Either way, you'll be needing to do large amounts of damage. If you want to go PvM I suggest getting a consistent group that will be able to buff and tank for you or massively heal you. On a build this offense oriented I would suggest investing into spot and discipline goes without saying, maybe even disarm if you have the room.

Anyway, onto the main point. Damage dealing.

21 ranger gets you a few things, namely bane and +5 from blade thirst, which opens up some options for you to keep spare weapons around and opens up your mythal crafting options. Bane when used correctly is a massive base damage increase.

The subraces on the face of it seem to make favored selection harder, but they actually make it easier. A large portion of the server is outsiders and elves, which is to be expected as they have some of the best and most flavorful subraces, humans goes without saying.

Assuming you start with 17 strength , take str points to 30 and don't up it through feats you'll end up with 24 base strength +12 through gear gets you to 36. take 7 WM in epic. 2 rogue for UMD, tumbledump, and evasion.

with a doubleaxe at +5 ( which you can do through blade thirst ) and nothing else, your damage should look like this against non, and favored, enemies. You're likely to do much more than this with additional damage sources on the weapons. You may also find you wan't to make your strength higher than that through feats, that helps too. Feel free to redo the calculations with the weapons you expect to have, I consider the following math a poor mans absolute minimum for the build. There's no reason you shouldn't exceed these numbers vastly.

Non Favored: Primary Hand +13 from Str , + 1d8 base, +5 enhancement = 19 - 26, off hand is going to nyx 7 damage off of that. On a crit, this becomes.

76 - 104 primary, and 52 - 80 offhand

Favored Primary: 19-26 +2d6+5 = 26 - 43
On a crit this becomes: 104 - 172
adding so much as 1d6 elemental changes this number to 105-196

If it hasn't donned on you yet, you're only going to reach the full potential of this build with allies. Enhancing your damage either variably or with flat bonuses is going to turn you into a screaming hurt machine. UMD is there to mitigate some of this.

Make no mistake, you'll be a glass canon, again, allies helps with this a lot. Oh, and you're AB with that same +5 weapon should be.

25 BAB, + 13 Str, + 1 Aid (ranger) , -2 dual wield, +1 WM, +3 from focus and epic focus +5 from the weapon itself, +1 Epic prowess should you decide to go that route, leaves you at

46-47 pre-friends while dual weilding

The build will be heavily reliant on favorable mythal crafting of dropped loot, but with a good pair of allies this build has no trouble breaking the 300 range on primary criticals

It will need friends though, can't stress that enough.

Hoes does 7 bard/6 SD/ 17 AA sound? To me, it sounds pretty darn good. I don't care for HIPS much, but the build still seems like it would hurt some things as an AA would, while being able to poof whenever. I'm sure this build has been discussed in a previous post, but I missed it!

On that ranger:

4 Fighter will give you more damage through a better pet and epic weapon spec.

18 strength start.

25 Ranger 4 Fighter 1 Rogue is an allround better build.

Epic Fighter Feats: Epic Weapon Focus, Overwhelming Critical, Weapon Spec
Standard Epic Feats: Great Strength 1, Epic Weapon Spec, Armor Skin, Epic Skill Focus Spot
Ranger Bonus Feat: Bane of Enemies
Ranger 25 Feat: Another FE.

Its 7 more flat Damage and +1 AB against everything and frees up pre-epic feats for: Knockdown and Improved Knockdown or Disarm and Improved Disarm. I'm unsure why Janus said Disarm since it opens you up with your low ass AC to Attacks of Oppurtunity. (even the Mobility feat is fairly useless when you want to spam the hell out of it).

Pre-epic is the stock standard: Weapon Focus, Imp Crit, Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave w/ three epic feats spare on a human for IKD and Great fort or KD and Improved Disarm.

Start on 19 dex and +1 dex from all level up abilities.

10 SD allows for epic dodge. 11 AA give +6AB/Damage and 9 Bard is better for all round AB stacking.

Pre-epic 8 Bard 4 SD 8 AA.

Epic 6 SD 3 AA 1 Bard.

Epic Feats: Epic Weapon Focus, Epic Dodge, Armor Skin, ESF: hide.

Make sure you take Point Blank Shot, Weapon Focus, Rapid Shot, Called Shot, Stealthy, Dodge, Mobility.

Skill Dump: Tumble (30), Discipline, Hide, Move Silently, Spellcraft, UMD, Spot.

Edit: Changed the Pre-epic Feats because i made an Oops (Shows how often i make SD's)

If I do something blatant like a "Haha half-orc" or some such, I assume I can go for dev crit for good measure? Or is the damage simply ridiculous enough to forgive and forget dev.

My cleric is as melee as I've gotten ever since NWN came out, so I can't tell.

Its Rikkudai's ranger build, but with axes. You seriously do outdamage just about anyone on server. You alone. Then add in pet. Travel with a mage or cleric and you are the best damage cannon ever.

I am going this route with my dexer currently. It's a solid build with tons more room for feats. A few questions though.

Is 4 more levels of pet improvement really worth that much here?

Also if you're going 4 fighter already you may wanna consider getting the extra 2 for 4 more flat damage? Bringing the total flat damage over the WM build to + 11

Mentioned Disarm because of his weapon size, I wouldn't spam it, just see if they are vulnerable to it, if it knocks their weapon away I don't think the AoO's are going to matter too much, but definately avoid spamming it, You'll know in 2 or 3 tries at the most.

And yeah, no way are you going to need dev crit.

If you take Fighter 4 on level 24, 27, 30 you can take weapon spec and epic weapon spec on the same level. So the flat damage is +7. (+1 str + EWS)

The model for that build is 1 - 20 ranger

Then

4 Fighter 5 Ranger and one Rogue in epic.

However.

You can go 19/1 Ranger/Fighter pre-epic and pick up +2 fortsaves and use your Ranger 20 FE for Epic Weapon Focus if you don't mind taking Bane Of Enemies on your Level 25 Ranger FE Feat and Overwhelming on your level 23 Ranger Bonus Feat. I'm fairly certain that also opens up a standard epic feat for Epic Fort or Epic Discipline which makes gearing out a Ranger to Max Con/Strength, Discipline (80) and Fort Saves (40) tons easier.

Mind I wouldn't use the Double Axe on a Ranger personally. Dual Sided Weapons are inferior because you can't switch out to a Shield when you run into high AB critters (like Tanaari X-bowers).

I used to be against Dex Based rangers but having played my ED Sergei you come to the realisation that losing 7 str damage isn't that bad.

The wiki says they fixed that, but I'll take your experience over the wiki most of the time anyway.

I used to like double weapons, but they exclude the use of a shield and with so many sources of extra damage the base weapon damage is just moot.

And yeah, with a flat 6 from EWS, and bane, Str based damage on a dual weapon set up becomes completely unecessary.

Any advice on a wizard? Specifically looking for good ideas for other class dips - I'll be getting to 29 with LA, so 2 free levels of... here's what I'm thinking:

2 rogue - evasion, skill dump

1 rogue / 1 ranger - skill dump, proficiencies, fort save bonuses

1 rogue / 1 fighter - same as above

Also, best epic feats? Taking ESF: Conj for character concept, but the rest is open to suggestions.

Upon taking the feat Epic Mummy Dust the player has the option of changing the type of summon that is called. This may be done once per character unless a request is made to the DM team through the correct channel. It is advisable for the purposes of reskinning to choose the summon that best fits the type of creature you wish to reskin to.
• Outsider [Alignment Based] - Extended by Epic Spell Focus: Conjuration
• Magical Beast - Extended by Epic Spell Focus: Conjuration
• Elemental - Extended by Epic Spell Focus: Evocation
• Construct - Extended by Epic Spell Focus: Transmutation
• Undead [Default] - Extended by Epic Spell Focus: Necromancy

I Would advice you not to take Dragon knight. It is not as good as you think it is.

Secondly - When it comes to Spell Focuses, Pick the character concept. But above is a Guide of what the spell-schools change when you have Mummy dust.

Lastly - Going wizard, eh? Well. 2Fighter/2Rogue always works. If you grab UMD, you can dance around with a Full plate with 50% Reduced Spell failure.

Ask about the 'Melee Wizard', and we'll see if somebody got some nice replies on such a thing.

I'm not the best at finding out everything a L30 build can aquire as far as feats. I want to know if the following build can get the Dev Crit Feat or not. The prerequsites always mess me up.

L15 Cleric
L5 WM
L10 Fighter

Edit: I usually find ot the hard way, and I want to avoid that disappointment.

Here is as far as I got with this, but I can't compute the rest easily and I'll spend forever on the wiki looking up feats and waiting 5 minutes for every page to load.

3. +1 [spring attack]

Make sure you take 3 Cleric levels in Epic, so you do not loose Bab.

You should also Put all WM Levels Pre-Epic, since Fighter Extra Feats are more valuable in epic level.

But ... That build should 'probably' Get Dev.crit easily.

Will you use Divine shield/Might?

I dont think its possible to get Divine Might, with 18 STR, 13 INT, 13 CHA, there's nothing left for Wisdom. You'd have what, 12? And you need...18, to be able to cast the 8th level spells 15 Cleric Levels lets you have. Hells, even forgetting Might/Sheild, I dont think you can go over 15 WIS if you want Dev Crit and WM, and minimize all the other stats. I can see why people went for cheesy RDD builds on this sorta toon. :?

Aye.

22Cleric, 2Bard, 4RDD makes it easy. TO easy, really...

For WM, you need 13 dex too... LOL

Except the built you just typed Svenks has 28 levels only

Wow, jeez, yeah. Forget Might/Sheild. And 12 Wisdom is the max you can get.

I would suggest throwing out Weapon Master. And dont do the RDD thing please, anything less than 10(9 at a push) levels of that class is massive cheese and I heartily disapprove!

You shouldn't be taking build advice from svensk. Since this is the build advice thread, thats my advice. I'm going back to getting drunk now.

Contrary to popular belief heavy fighter builds = uber heavy saves build, since you have so many feats you can take like every save improving feat in the game and then some. When I'm sober I'll look at it more closely.

Why RDD, or WM even? Go cleric 26/2 Ftr/2 Rogue. I did and I got Dev, DIV Might/Shield (9 CHA modifier when buffed so it's alright). Damage is somewhat 90+ sometimes even more, no worse then WMs. Also spot 101 when geared to it.

For RP purposes it's simply absurd that a dedicated warrior with more than 8 INT would to look at the Rogues they travel with and see such cunning, such use of weapons where anything can be a weapon and not yearn to learn those skills. It also absurd in a world where the gods are known to aid those devout to them in battle that they would not seek the patronage of their chosen diety.

So I say Ftr/CoT/Rogue. 10/10/10 has space for a zillion saves feats and bags you the vicious Crippling Strike.
