That's all well and good, but that still doesn't mean there can't be a large school of thought believing that the world is flat -- and I imagine there is a nice percentage of people who might believe that on Toril. Don't underestimate peoples ability to rationalize anything they feel, even when it's irrational. Not to mention, I would imagine a very large percentage of the people on Toril are uneducated, academically speaking. I would imagine a large amount of people also are uneducated in a religious/faithful sense. They pray to the gods they're told will do good things and might not understand the full scope of that particular gods dogma.

Oh, Toril is spherical, alright. It's actually very similar in size and shape to Earth, and there's an Abeir-Toril atlas application that was sold in the past but it's long since been taken down.
