The Hak Update is now wrapped up! First off, I want to say a big thank you to Eurgiga for all of the great new content he created just for this server. Next up, the design and dm staff who worked on this update, and finally to the testers who will now be chained in the underdark (basement) for the next days. You're welcome, rothe! But to the fun part involving you. We are now entering the testing phase, which you can be a part of. The Hak Pack (143MB) and a Testing Module (150kb) can now be downloaded. You may experience a slow download because it is hosted on Mediafire. The finished one will of course be available to be downloaded from our server, once we are certain everything works as it is supposed to. The hak file goes into your hak folder in the NWN directory, and the module in your module folder in the NWN directory. Pretty easy to remember. And please, do -not- delete the current hak from your folder, or you will need to re-download it to play online. They have different names, and just have both in your hak folder. If anything does not seem right, or if you experience problems, please let us know. Just leave a post right in this topic. Some of the areas have quite a bit of plcs and creatures in them, so they may be a bit heavy. The testing module was the one I worked with throughout the project, and I was just too lazy to whip up a new one now. So sorry 'bout that! Anyway,... let the testing begin!

Please keep it!
They have different names, so you can have both in your hak folder. You will need the old to continue playing on the server for now. The server and the testing module each will know which one to use.

Great stuff all of it! Loved the new placeables, and the carrioncrawler, really geeked out from that one One problem I ran into though was when I danced the night away with one of the lovely ladies. I couldn't break out of it. I was stuck in that animation. The large and tower shields on the ground just show up as loot bags

The following creatures and items are being looked at today for fixes:- Pygmy Rider - Mindflayer Biologist - Mindflayer Scientist - Dractaur - Giant Worm - Black and Crystal Ooze - A few of the shields - A few of the weapons I will also be uploading a new testing module later, as one of the transitions seems broken. Ðraco wrote: One problem I ran into though was when I danced the night away with one of the lovely ladies. I couldn't break out of it. I was stuck in that animation. The animation usually runs one type through when you break from it, so normally if you click away, it should break after 45seconds. Liz wrote: O jeez. We've got naked haks now? Could the players who begun testing this yeterday download this version of the Testing Module (200kb)? It seems for some players a number of the shields and weapons are broken, while for others (myself included) they work perfectly fine. The more feedback I get on this, the easier my job will be at tracking down what the actual problem is. This version of the mod also has the fix to the transition problem to the wing/tail preview room. Just pop the .mod file into your module folder in your NWN directory, and overwrite the one from last night.

As the player of two heavily armoured female characters I am sorely disappointed at the lack of female heavy armour additions and the over abundance of dresses and scantly attire!

Sadly, most of the armor options for females I found fit hookers more than they do warrior type gals. To make up for that, they dominate the robe options quite clearly.

It is very hard, and far beyond my skills. I am hoping that for the hak update that will follow this one, I might be able to get a few better options. I will also be starting to learn from Eurgiga how to make such custom content once I got the time in 2-3 months, and I hope together we might be able to provide female characters with proper attire.
You can not imagine how many tripple-d bouncy platemail(-bikini) torsos I found. Yes, platemail that jiggles like jello. >.<

Bunch of great stuff. Those dollheads are creepy as hell, and the spectral warriors too. And I love to see the CODI stuff.
I must be old now, cause I don't even know what a dracotaur is, or where it came from... But the mist dragon is awesome. I wanna see how that model moves. Bunch of really cool placeables too.
There seems to be a longsword and a battleaxe that has a borked texture on it or something: both display a loot bag attached to it when on the ground and picked up. Plus the shields that look like loot bags. The transition to the wing/tail room worked fine, so I'd guess I grabbed the newer one? It's the drow/spider longsword, but cant even tell what the battleaxe is, there's no blade... maybe a stone thing?
There's four shields that look like loot bags, all are unidentified. This is all in the items room, not the room with all the other shields.
Speaking of shields, Pony, weren't you working on a whole bunch of new shield textures a while ago? are those in this update too? I didn't see them.

The mist dragon walks awesomely. Other creatures are superb, indeed! *claps* Some other creatures actually slide instead of walking. I noted these : Vegepygmy Rider Fox, Arctic Fox, Red Ox Cart Mindflayer, Scientist Mindflayer, Biologist Of all (neat!) Spectral Warriors, only one walks properly (the one with the yellow eyes). the other ones slide. Items : I have the same problem with the four shields in the Item room. Same appearance issue with the 3rd battle-axe from the left (the one near the handaxe), and the Bow and Longsword in the center. I flagged them in red in this screenshot. The Golden Sickle (in blue, above) look like exotic or martial weapon, but these are flagged as Simple or Druid ? I think these should be Piercing instead of Slashing, so maybe a dagger or a shortsword base ? The Claws Kama are... fantastic. And what about this 'Xistera'-like basket sling (will be great to watch Bendir Dale Jai Alaicompetitions! ) No issue in either the Door, Medieval or Mushroom tilesets. great stuff. Some of the clothing guys lack the Leather Armor proficiency and show up in loin cloth, but the actual items are very nice looking. Holdables : there seems to be a mix of 'custom items', 'flower vase', 'magic staff', 'dagger' and 'torch' items. My take is that flowers should be changed to 'custom items' so that one could hold them in the offhand. The Quill is a "dagger", which may look interesting (I'm going to build a dual-wielding Quill Weapon Master). I wish we had a pair of religious holdables added (even if non faith-specific) for the offhand of priests, of course. no crash or rendering issue in the PLC rooms, all good! the transition to the Tail / Wing room doesn't work, but jumping through the DM-client works properly. Nice wings ! A lot of work went into this. super job indeed.

The shields have an obvious fix. I removed their models when I removed a good portion of the pony-make shields. As to the creatures, a few super models need to be added. So they are a pretty straightforward fix as well. I think I know the problem with the handaxe, bow and longsword now. Thanks! 666WaysToHell wrote: I'm not sure if everyone else is getting this; but the VFXs' are off. I'm not seeing the shoulder companions, masks or that guy who's got heavy breathing. Ah, the VFX's were my bad. They are not broken themselves, but are just not firing up at the moment. They will be back once I got to the update with the current list of bug fixes. Likely tonight or tommorow.

It kept going for about a minute and the guy wouldn't get his hands off of me until that point, but it did eventually stop!
I did notice that when I tried to have my Riia dance with another girl, she was like "Oh, hell no!" and we were both randomly teleported to the male-dancers room. Where she then decided she could dance with Riia. Just...not while in Riia's arms. It was all skewed and weird. But I don't know if that's just because of the way dancing preview was implemented or if there's any real bug there. I guess Riia's scary to other girls!
Also, I had no problem with the shields or items. Everything except the VFX room showed up for me.
(Also, Lolth has some serious nipples showing, too!)

The porting issue is not a problem with the emote, but the way it was implemented for the preview. Though that method will not be used for the server, so that glitchyness is nothing we need to worry about.
As for the duration, the emotes simply need to at least run one cycle. So when you break, it is delayed until it finishes the first cycle. The problem would be if they are prone to not allowing a break before repeating the emote from the start.
The weapon-baggyness occured because a part of them were set to a null model in the toolset, which makes the bag appear. So those will be fixed soon too. As to the four shields, they are just missing the model, so they too will be corrected in the next version.
VFX room will be working again in the next testing module, as well. They all can all still be looked at via the command lines (for the more experienced players who know how that works), the VFXs all being available themself.
So far it does not seem we have any bugs that can not easily be fixed, which is good.

I'm just going to throw this out there, but those shields with the fleur de lis patterns, they don't really seem to fit Amia, in my opinion.

Alright folks, the test hak has been updated, as well as the testing mod. The download links are in the first post. Just overwrite the current versions in your hak and module folder with the new ones.
The hats neck version is not going to this update, I am afraid. It needs a model change, or the characters will be neckless. So we will see to that one in the next update. The VFX preview is not up for this module, but they all work so there is no further testing needed for them.

Okay! I tested everything extensively. I didn't see any bags on the ground or in my hand on equipping. I attacked and was killed by every new creature and the only ones I didn't absolutely love were the fox/raccoon size creatures, as they have erratic and weird looking attack animations, and the dracotaur, because the top half of the thing is static with zero movement. Looks like it's wearing a big, weird hat.
I found no other bugs! The clothing options that didn't show up in-game showed up fine in the toolset and after checking, all of them didn't have the right armor proficiency for the clothing they were wearing. So no harm there.
Excellent!

Keep the test reports coming, boys and girls. I would like at least ten "all clears" from the players, in addition to those of the testers, before we make the hak available for download on our site and update the server with it.

This doesn't specifically have to do with new content, but I am wondering if someone might be able to quickly fix helmet model 26 in time for the proper update. Skull helmet, with horns. Visual effects don't show up on this model. No mindblank. No ioun. Nothing. Multiple helmets tried. No effects for any of them. It makes it a little more difficult to discern which spells you have up. And I wouldn't be opposed to an identical helmet without the horns.

I mean, I have tried the same helmet model, on multiple different helmets, just to be sure it wasn't a problem with only one specific helmet. Any helmet I change to #26 has the same problem. Any head-centered visuals are nullified by this model, it seems.

Reminder: The hak update will not be going live until thorough testing has been done.If you would like to see the hak update go live, download the module and hak and go through the areas to make sure nothing's broken. There's not a whole lot! C'mon, folks! Keep the testing coming!

The Dracotaur (Dragon without head with the body of a lizardman added on top) has a very glitchy attack animation...
Do not include

The 'Shadow on your shoulder' / Crow / Dead bird doesn't work. Nor does any of the masquerade masks

Those are in the VFX room, which technically doesn't need further testing. And the dracotaur has been dealt with. Is everything good aside from those, Svensk?

No other issues but those stated.

So here's my test run (but most of the problems have been mentioned already - still will give them and my impressions) 1) I logged with Saya (feytouched) and ended up walking around with the naked dryad model (which means Michael and Duane had more "wood" that intended). 2) Speaking of Michael, - Option 5 does nothing ("Hug here") - Option 6 does nothing ("Kiss here") - The kissing on the ground options are a bit too much I believe.. it could be because of that naked dryad model, but I really felt like these were an invitation to do naughty stuff (read point 3 for more). 3) Girl on girl - Using these on another girl is very buggy (I had to try ^^), and I ended up with the 2 characters doing scissors with one of the options, then boobs to the face while the other holds her butt with another option (the ones on the ground). They can't hug or kiss either. 4) There's a bunch of naked dudes in underwear instead of wearing some sort of clothes they are supposed to showcase (already mentioned) 5) Placeables, - There's a flying blood skull in room 3 (intended to put on a wall? or is it supposed to be on the ground?). You can only see it if you are facing it.. feels like it's meant as a wall placeable and therefore working as intended? - The mushrooms can be deceptively blocky (as in, it blocks your path even though there's an opening between them - but damn that mushroom place looks awesome! Need a myconid dungeon now!) 6) Still no VFX in the VFX room 7) From experience, the mist dragon with a mist is --extremely-- laggy. I was glad to see the mist-less mist dragon in that room I am from Québec. I am not offended by the "Fleur de Lys" shield, but seeing the Quebec flag on these shields really feels out of place! lol ---------- My Conclusion - Everything seems fine and nothing major out there EXCEPT for the "kiss interactions". I would very much recommend NOT including the emotes for any of the ones that revolve around going to the ground. They are a bit too much AND create even naughtier situations if not used "as intended" (I assume it was made for male/female). In fact, even the kiss and hug might end up very weird if you try it with a halfling / gnome on a "regular sized" character. Has anyone tried it? Aside from recommending to NOT implementing these PC interaction emotes (as nice as they look), I am very looking forward to this new hak pack. Great work! PS: Will the kama/claw model be available through regular weapon crafting? It was my intention to make claws Saya's weapons on creation, but the model was not available then. With them being implemented, I would feel it very annoying to have to DC request a weapon skin change every time I get a kama.. or change my 5 or so kamas to that visual and having to request it every time (this question works for all weapons I guess!)

Same here Svenks... but as with a lot of things, they can be exploited to do bad stuff, so I am very iffy to recommend the standing ones the laying on the ground emotes though are a no go for me.
It isn't like I'm offended or anything.. but they feel like an invitation to go against the no-cybering rule somehow! :p
