So, I hope I put this to the right place to begin with. The issue comes up only with NWN so I think it's about NWN, too.
My problem: Everytime I play NWN online, in Amia or elsewhere, it works fine at first but in 30 mins to 3 hours, I start experiencing several minutes of delay of lag, which also seems to be more focused on my end. Things I send take ages to show up, while things others do or send show up with a minute or so delay, but still lot sooner than my own. Eventually this causes my NWN do Disconnect and I won't be able to log back in for some time. (Rebooting computer oddly fixes it for a short moment)
I'm thinking it has something to do about connecting to NWN, because it finds server lists, all that, but when I try to log in on any server it stays in "Attempting to find server" until connection times out. However, playing NWN offline or even heavier games like Fallout NV etc. works just fine.
Things I've tried so far to fix it: Changing my firewall to another, waiting, completely uninstalling and re-installing NWN. So far nothing's worked. Anyone got any ideas how to proceed?

Have you scanned your machine for malware/trojans/viruses?
That sounds like one of the above may be opening a bunch of connections and causing your modem/machine to time out.. or become flooded.

I've checked with Avast! and HijackThis (though I'm mediocre at best at reading the logs) and found nothing. Also, everything else related to internet works just fine, messenger, browsers, all that. It seems to be only NWN that has trouble.

Try using Miles software sound, or none and see if that helps.

I also sent him to Trendmicro as a last-ditch, Dwag.

do you play other games for long periods of time? You could have an over heating issue with the gpu.

Other games don't cause a problem, no. And I checked for Malvwares with various programs, nothing. However I did also reinstall NWN entirely and some other fixes. Not sure which thing I did seemed to help, but so far it seems to run fine now.

Apparently my joy was short. After a moment, same trouble happens again, NWN not connecting to server etc. Just this time rebooting PC doesn't help like it used to.
Getting very confused and short on options.

Getting the same problem here! It doesn't appear to be any other programs that use the net, I can browse and download fine even checked my useage..but no joy hunting lasts minutes before I'm 12-20 seconds behind my party.. not hunting and walking is an issue so is opening a door. It's been stuttery for two days now I direct connect to servers A and B, still driving me nutty! >.< if anyone know a fix or reason behind this insanity let me know xD

If this started happening recently, it could be that a 'newer and better' set of graphics drivers are to blame.
