First, I must make an apology for all those I left high and dry. I unfortunately had some personal/family issues to deal with that required my immediate attention. These issues only came to light the day before this event, and so I had to quickly try and arrange things as best I could. I found myself constantly distracted during the event, which is why I didn't really take part in any of it, and then had to leave to sort things out.
In character, you may assume that Xal has bailed. He fled. He did the good Sir Robin and took to his heels to run away. This can be explained simply by the fact that he found out a war was waiting, and he never signed up for a war. Perhaps he will return to save your collective asses at another time, or perhaps not. A story for another day, hopefully a day when such dire events in my personal life don't cause me great distraction.
I hope to see you all in game again, and I hope my bailing doesn't change how you roleplay with me. Thanks.
